  • Summer Retreat

"This was the first time we stayed at this house but hopefully won't be the last! The location is near anything you want to do from hiking to jogging trails, kayak/canoe rentals, shopping in Bolton landing, Jumping spider Rock and any boating activity you can think of and we did it all. The view was spectacular - all meals can be eaten outside in the sun or shade depending on your desire and the weather. Swimming off the dock was enjoyed by all and the water was crystal clear most of the time except when it stormed. We had a couple of stormy days but it didn't last all day so we were able to get in activities every day. The kids could snorkel around the dock and there's a great sand area you can walk into from the dock if you don't want to jump off the dock. We had a family of 5 and we had plenty of room in the house. The house was very nice and kept very clean. The owners were very nice to work with and helpful with all of our questions. The outdoor fire pit was great for evening smores and just relaxing by the waters edge. Everything that you need is there. We really had a great time and can't wait to get back!"

  • Lake George at its best!!

"Just finished up a great week, 8/16-8/23/14, at Dockside!! Boat rental (23 foot I/O StarCraft - brand new) with skis and wake board were awesome. Condo apartment was awesome. Great amenities all perfect for a lake vacation, from gas BBQ and A/C to modern kitchen and washer-dryer, the place has everything you could need or want. Very clean and very private! Plus great management and staff, hard working, courteous, and looking to make sure your stay is everything you want it to be. Our third year there. You should go!"

  • Gorgeous and Clean!!

"My friends/family and I stayed here for a long weekend to celebrate my 30th birthday and I couldn't have picked a better place. We were 8 adults and 1 baby. This house is BEAUTIFULLY decorated, it has a very rustic feel but also updated with modern amenities such as a natural gas fireplace, wifi, TV/Cable and even an alarm system. The owners were wonderful to work with (LOVE Judie) and they provide basically anything you could ever need including a fully stocked kitchen with beautiful granite countertops, plastic utensils/cups/plates, appliances such as blender, keurig and even a crockpot. They also provide towels, linens, etc... In other words..just pack your clothes, swimsuit and don't forget the sunblock! I also have to note that this house is very CLEAN, we were very impressed. The decor really sets the perfect atmosphere, they have done a terrific job with the interior of this home. They also had 2 kayaks and a pedal boat available along with life jackets. It was so much fun and the lake is clean and has a beautiful mountain backdrop. Overall, we were very happy with our choice and pleasantly surprised to discover that it was better than we had hoped. Can't wait to return next year!!!"

Lake George Travel Tips

Lake George Lodging in the Adirondacks

Retirement communities in places like Florida, Arizona, and other warm states are often where older individuals flock for vacations. Instead, look into Lake George lodging which is perfect for people of all ages. The Adirondacks are normally filled with mountains and hills; however, some Lake George rentals are on flat land that is easy to hike or ski. Your stay at Adirondack Mountains cabins can be for the entire extended family or a simple gathering of your immediate family.

Lake George Rentals close to Olympic Village

At Lake George rentals, you are an hour from Lake Placid, 40 minutes from Mt. Gore, and on the shores of Lake George. There are four exits to alpine skiing and Nordic skiing tracks near Lake George lodging. For winter, you can light a fire in a rock fireplace, and watch the snow falling outside while you read a book. Spend Christmas at Adirondack Mountains cabins where the presents will stay nestled under the tree as the family sits at the kitchen table playing all their favorite board games.

Kayaking around Adirondack Mountains Cabins

Spring and summer in the Adirondacks are just as spectacular as the winter months. Adirondack Mountains cabins are nestled in a forest of trees offering privacy for your days on the lake beach. Swim, water ski, or fish in Lake George from the convenient docks of your Lake George rentals. Also borrow the cabins' kayaks for a night outing onto the lake to watch the moon rise and glimmer over the water.

The Path to Lake George Lodging

Lake George drains into Lake Champlain and the St. Lawrence River which is one reason the lake system was so important during the early centuries of North America. The Native Americans were the first to use the lakes as a way to transport goods and their tribe around the Adirondacks. The French then settled the area before losing control to the British settlers in the 1700s. Lake George lodging has always been a target for tourists due to its convenience to New York City and Montreal, as well as its beautiful countryside.
