  • Highly Recommend this home!!

"Thank you Barb and Doug for sharing your lovely home with my family; you were the perfect hosts!! We stayed over the July 4th holiday and the experience couldn't have been more pleasant. The home was just as listed; very clean and well maintained. They made sure we arrived safely and we were even greeted with a handwritten welcome note and bottle of wine!! This home is located within walking distance to everything; shops, restaurants and the lake!! We had a wonderful time walking through the shops, having coffee at Ozzie's Coffee Bar and the scenic chairlift views at McCauley Mountain were beautiful. The Prime Rib at Red Dog Tavern is worth the short drive to Inlet but get there early! Thank you again Doug and Barb for making our first stay in Old Forge so pleasant."

  • A wonderful home away from home

"A truely wonderful townhouse, just as the pictures show. Very clean and beds were very comfortable. All the little extras in the home made it a wonderful experience. Linda, the owner was very helpful and was available to answer any questions, also providing us with lots of great information about the town. Would definitely recommend this place."

  • An excellent place to stay for most travelers.

"My wife, toddler, sister-in-law and I just finished a 3 night stay at Mary's property and had a lovely stay. A few details: -- I just reviewed the photos on Homeaway and they are perfectly accurate. The apartment was lovely in every way. -- Not that we used it, but at a glance the kitchen seems extremely well equipped. -- For those with toddlers, while the apartment is not officially baby-proofed it's clutter-free and therefore easy to keep the kid out of trouble. -- The apartment is dead quiet. No noise from their home below. No noise from the street when the windows are closed (if you keep them open to enjoy the night air you'll hear passing cars but I'm a light sleeper and didn't have a problem with it at all). -- The owners are very nice and have two adorable dogs (including a Scottie for fans of the breed). -- The *only* caveat I would make? The bathroom lacks a bathtub so if you're looking to soak away aching quads from a long day of skiing or hiking you're gonna be disappointed. And along the same lines, the shower stall is VERY small. If you're a plus-sized person you're not going to be happy. Mary is aware of this and is exploring the possibility of a tub. So what are you waiting for? Rent this place!"

  • Perfect Getaway

"Absolutely beautiful location, right on the lake. The pictures that are posted are not doing this house any justice. The owners (an very lovely couple) let us dock the boat on their dock and were ultimately extremely accommodating. They helped us with propane tank for the grill (which saved us a lot of headache) and gave us few very useful points (restaurants and attractions) to check out in the nearby area. The house itself was clean and pleasant. The only thing that we found a little hard to deal with is the lack of Internet and Wi-Fi. But other than that, we had a great time. Will definitely come back!!!"
