"Beautiful location on Lake George. If you've never been to the lake, Island View is the perfect place! Directly on the water with stunning views. The house is a great place for a large group (although it was only my husband and I). The downstairs has ample dining and lounging space, the upstairs has a full bathroom as well as a mater bedroom with a new full bathroom and the most spectacular view of the lake, also a small porch to enjoy the view, along with 3 additional bedrooms. Outside there is more than enough room, picnic table, patio dining table, and a fire pit (which we enjoyed)! The house has with everything you need - bbq, cable tv, wifi, air conditioners, kayaks - kitchen is fully stocked. Sandy and Bruce are wonderful. Sandy was prompt in replying to any questions we had. They greeted us upon our arrival, gave us a tour of the house and property, helped us with docking our boat and provided us with information on the area. We have been vacationing in Hague for 30+ years and would highly recommend Island View to anyone!"

"The home was beautiful, clean and spacious. Loved the screened in deck! The lake was just a short walk down the road, where we swam and kayaked. We went parasailing on Lake George, white water rafting on the Sacandaga Lake...both less than 30 minutes away. There a ton of activities to take advantage of, or you can just relax. We had a wonderful vacation and look forward to returning."

"the house is situated directly on Lake Champlain in a small tucked away community of about 10 homes..it was extraordinarily peaceful, especially at night for stargazing as there was little to no ambient light..this section of the Lake is sparsely populated; even across the lake we barely made out 3 or 4 homes.
The area nearby was about "peak" for leaf peeping, many hikes/walks/bike rides..we went into Burlington and Shelburne a few times, with Burlington being a neat, slightly offbeat college town with a variety of activities.
The house itself is very nicely outfitted, with the exception that I would recommend updated seating in the living area and possibly on the upper deck area. We ate dinner at the house all but one of our 7 nights..although there are good eating options in nearby Vergennes and Middlebury if you dont like cooking.
All in all, the place was fine ; the owner was cordial and responsive to our needs, One slight negative (certainly not the owners fault) was the number of flies we had to contend with in the house...hey, its on a lake and it was warm, so I guess that shouldnt be a surprise..but it was annoying."
