  • Boy weekend at Jim's

"My Uncles, cousins, brother and sons get together for one weekend a year to connect with each other. This year we stayed at Jim's Adirondack home in Old Forge. I have nothing but great things to say about this home. It was exceptionally clean and big enough for the 12 of us. The area was great for bike riding, canoeing, fishing or just walking around town. We booked the home again for next years get together."

  • Perfect stay with perfect customer service

"We've been coming to Lake Placid for four years now and ALWAYS stay at the Whiteface Lodge. It's such a gem , you definately can't go wrong staying there! This year I decided to look on vrbo because I knew this resort was a timeshare property And if I rented by owner as opposed to the hotel I would be able to get a discounted price..That's where I found Tim..He was so great to work with..Always kept in touch and knew the answer to every and any question I had about the resort..His prices were awesome (I saved about $700 booking through him)..Check in was a breeze (even quicker than booking directly with the hotel). You literally have your car parked , get greeted by the staff and get your room key! That's it! Perfection! I will definately be calling Tim EVERYTIME im ready to come back to Lake Placid (or any other destination properties that Tim deals with) thanks Tim😊"

  • Defines Fine Mountain Living

"What sets Healing Wood apart from other vacation rentals is the attention to detail of the furnishings, décor and setting. The house retains the charm of a bygone era, from the kitchen's cast iron stove to the porcelain wash basins. (There are fully modern appliances, so don't worry about building a fire to heat up the tea kettle!) The well stocked library will keep inquisitive minds occupied for days, all while reading in the warmth of the late afternoon sun streaming through the French doors. It's like walking back in time to your grandparent's home. The home is located a short walk from Upper Saranac lake and within easy drive of the villages of Tupper, Saranac and Placid. Recommend the boat tour on Placid to see the grand camps, including Kate Smith's camp. The Wild Center is a gem in nearby Tupper and aviation buffs can arrange flights out of Adirondack Regional (KSLK) to see the high peaks from up on higher! Hiking the Ampersand trail to the summit provided a view that was worth every rock and foot of elevation gain along the way. A memorable vacation in a special home, we hope to return again to Healing Wood."

  • A much needed getaway

"The Hideaway is such a beautiful place to stay. The scenery, the wildlife and the atmosphere were all phenomenal. I have never gone on a vacation where I have felt so recharged and refreshed when I left like I did when I left the Hideaway. My wife, our friends and I that stayed here enjoyed ourselves very much. Dave and Diane have so much at the cabin for you to do that there isn't even a need to leave it. There is a great selection of very good books, board games and outdoor activities that will keep you busy the whole time you're there. The Cabin is very clean and maintained extremely well. An A+ experience overall and I hope to be back again next year."
