  • Better than we could have imagined!

"Not only was it easy to book, but communicating with the property owner was a breeze. The photos of the property don't do it justice. The house is spectacular! We had plenty of room and privacy and everyone in our party thoroughly enjoyed their stay. The house was clean and well maintained and close to town so if you needed a store or restaurant it wasn't a far drive. The only complaint I had was that there was not enough silverware for everyone but we had brought plastic utensils so it was ok. But other than that everything was fantastic! The furniture was comfortable, the beds were comfortable, there were plenty of linens and towels for everyone, etc. We have already told family and friends about this place and hope to do it all again next year! We made use of the lake and dock and my husband caught some fish so that made for a happy trip for him too! We had a blast relaxing on the deck with friends and enjoying the view. We were disappointed in the walk down to the fire pit (not so much down but definitely up). It would be nice to have a fire pit on the grassy area below the deck that is easier to get to. We felt right at home there and hope to go back again and again! Spectacular!!!"

  • Wonderful family rental, close to village yet private

"This house was a good fit for two families plus grandparents. The common rooms were large enough to accommodate our party of ten if we all wanted to be together, but there was plenty of room for us to spread out when we wanted time apart! The house was just as shown in the pictures. The covered patio and outdoor fire pit are really great features you won't find at other rentals. The location is fantastic if you want to be within walking distance of the village, but still have quiet and privacy. It was ~ five to seven minute walk to the village and Shephard's Park. We needed a stroller for the younger ones in our party (~ 3 years old). The Shephard's Park beach was great for the kids (age 3 - 7). There was no need to go to Million Dollar Beach. We found the beach rules to be very strict relative to what we are used to, and did not spend a lot of time there. Claire was very helpful before and during our vacation. The house felt like a home, and was nicely decorated. We would recommend this property to others. The Prospect Mountain hike (just behind the house) was very nice, but I would not recommend for small children. We really enjoyed Capri's pizza on the strip. We saw the Thursday night fireworks from Neptune's restaurant - great place for the whole family. If you are looking to get out of the village check out the Painted Pony Rodeo - also great for families."

  • Great for big group

"Not a fancy house but well-equipped! Beds were all so comfortable and everything fresh. Great choice for us and great value."

  • amazing

"We stayed at the house in the end of April 2009. There were 16 of us. The house is unbelievable. We neverleft it during the whole weekend. It is gorgeous, spotless, with everything one might need. The owner is extremely helpful and the caretaker was great. The lake is beautiful, pristine with lots of little waterfalls and beavers. We didn't want to leave and decided that if we can get time off, we will come back every year."
