"Being a single parent safety is always my first concern. With this cottage I have no worries. Just steps off the main street you find yourself in a family friendly area and I felt confident enough to allow my child to have time to himself for an hour or so. Shepards Park Beach is within walking distance as well as Fort William Henry, Million Dollar Beach and Around the World Putt-Putt.
It is nice to be able to cook your own meals, sit out on the back porch or just have a cup of coffee while reading the newspaper on the picnic table. Without the added expense of going out for our meals it left me with the extra money to do something special: Kayaking, Extreme Sports, Fishing, or take a ride on a Steamboat. Remember you are just a short drive to Bolton Landing, Albany, Fort Ticonderoga, and Glens Falls.
The cottage is clean and comfortable. It is just the right place for someone who doesn't need all the frills of a hotel and just wants a place to call "home" for awhile. This is our second year at the cottage with a planned return visit next year. Terri has been very helpful and willing to help me with any issues that arise.
With no doubt I would recommend this cottage to anyone who wants some peace and quite and leave to the vehicle "at home"."

"This place is great, and you really can't beat the location. There is plenty to do; whether you want to hang out in the house, the downtown area, or if you are up for some adventure. It really is just a short walk to main street, or a short drive to numerous trailheads. There is also plenty of off street parking. The living room with the fire place was a great area for our group of old college friends to sit around and tell stories from back in the day. The kitchen is fully stocked with whatever you need. We prepared a great meal for everyone the night we arrived.
Thanks again Chris for sharing your place with us."

"We had a wonderful two days at the lodge for Thanksgiving 2014. Ten of us, age range 4 to 84 all had a great time. We did get about a foot of snow on the 26th, we hunkered down and had everything we needed! Including two ovens. It is a true lodge, warm and friendly. This location is on our list for a return visit! Thank you Beth.."

"The place was absolutely breathtaking, we sat there for hours just taking it all in. This was our first family vacation with our 5 month old girls. Marta was so accommodating from the moment we booked our trip until the end. I would definitely stay here again!"
