  • Perfect for Ironman Lake Placid!

"Our triathlon team was looking for a house that was close to the course, had sufficient space for 8 people and had amenities that would allow us to enjoy Lake Placid before and after the race. This house was perfect. From the layout, size, amenities, location, provided us everything we needed and more. The owners were responsive and very helpful from the first contact through the end of our stay. We would certainly rent this house again!"

  • Great Place to Get Away!

"We stayed here and had one of the best weeks of our summer! It was quiet, peaceful, and relaxing staying on what I feel is the best side of the lake. The dock and deck is where we spent the majority of the time. It was sunny on the dock early and shady on the deck which worked out perfectly. At night we finished the day on the deck cooking over the large outside wood fireplace. The fishing was great with enough sunnies to entertain the kids and enough bass for the adults. Swimming was easy with the deep-water dock and there were enough boats and swim toys for everyone. Although it rained on our last day, it was a perfect stay overall. We plan on making the trip back next year."

  • Picture does not this home justice!!

"Our family rented this house as 'home base' for our son's wedding in Lake Placid. We hosted the groomsmen & our young adult children --10 in all --- and were SO happy with this choice! The house is LOVELY and perfectly set up for entertaining. We had a choice of propane or charcoal grills, a 4-person hot tub, the sauna, a WONDERFUL fire circle, a game room, a sweet, meandering path down to Beaver Creek, acres of lawn space, an outstanding private master suite for me & hubby (complete with jacuzzi tub), miles of dirt road for running or walking -- it was just perfect! There are internet and TV, but no need to use either with so many other amenities! The one thing that was not mentioned in the description, and the reason we are seriously interested in returning, is a BUILT IN dog kennel & run!! We are VERY excited about returning to this house with our Goldens---they will love it! My son's friend summed it up perfectly when she first entered the house -- she dropped her duffle bag and said "WOW" and, with each turn she made, she repeated"WOW" -- we agree."

  • "The Four Seasons" should be renamed "Seasons in Paradise"

"OMG! What an amazing place. Myself and the college buddies (6 of us this year) have made a tradition of a long weekend in October in the Adirondacks going on 25 years now. We've stayed at various places but found this on VRBO and we decided to give it a try. John the owner is a delight to deal with and very communicative. The house is gorgeous and modern with lots of large windows. The house is on a residential street smack dab in the middle of Old Forge, and you are a 5 minute walk to all the restaurants, shops, movie theatre and Old Forge Hardware store. At the same time if you go out the back of the house it is on a beautiful large semi wooded lot on the Moose river. There is a large wraparound deck on the main level overlooking the back, and a smaller deck on the smaller walk out level. Beautiful lighting to the river at night where there is another deck, a stone firepit and a chimnera. Lots of fire wood by the river, the two interior fireplaces, and the front porch which has some nice rockers. Gorgeous spaces inside and out - much nicer than described. Also meticulously clean, tastefully furnished, and so comfortable. They are building a house on the lot next door that looks like it might be a million dollar house. I needed to come home on Sunday but my buddies had such a great time they booked an extra night. First time we have done that. Already I have spoken with John about booking the same weekend next year for the college buddies, and have also booked a separate weekend for myself, my wife, kids, and their spouses. I can't wait until I retire in a few years so I can book for longer period of time. Thanks John for such a wonderful experience."
