  • Wonderful Experience!

"Our family couldn't be happier with our time and experience at The Red House! We greatly enjoyed the peace and solitude and felt like we had the lake to ourselves! The house has everything you can think of with views of the lake abound! Lake George is a beautiful body of water and fortunately we had fantastic boating, fishing, swimming, kayaking...you name it! The public beach in the next bay is a gem and is awesome since we have small children. The dock space with sun deck was wonderful with plenty of fishing action to keep the attention of young children! If you bring a boat, there is a wonderful town dock directly across the lake in Hague where you can grab supplies or even have a wonderful dinner. Also in Hague is a marina with dockside service for fuel which was super convenient after tubing and skiing all day! So many places to explore! It's a short drive to Vermont and only 15 minutes to historic Fort Ticonderoga! Also wonderful Adirondack hiking is a short ride in any direction. If you're considering renting - we highly recommend doing so as we're already looking at our calendar for a repeat visit! We can't thank the owner's enough - they were wonderful, thoughtful (thanks for the s'mores!) and responsive and really made our trip even more relaxing!"

  • Enjoyed our experience So Much...we headed Back!

"Thank you to Tim for helping us to experience The Whiteface Lodge and Lake Placid. The resort went above our expectations in terms of the amount of space we had for our family of 5, cleanliness, friendliness of staff and ambiance. There was so much for us to do at the resort (the pool, game room, resort's private beach, cookies at tea time) and within the area of Lake Placid (hiking, boat tours, Olympic museum, watching the ski jumpers and ice skaters, & horse show). The concierge was very helpful in helping us pick out hikes to go on with our children, or alone as a couple when we utilized the Kids camp. We enjoyed our experience so much in June that we headed back in August! It was so easy to work with Tim and we are so glad that our friend who has stayed at the resort numerous times recommended Tim and the resort."

  • It was just wonderful

"My entire family fell in love with Lake Champlain the side on New York. Can't speak of the Vermont side. The water was crystal clear and the sand was like baby powder on our feet. We enjoyed a private dock and all the toys you would want for a lake... what didn't we do? There was a fire pit right on the beach that we enjoyed every night. I really do believe it is one of the best situated lake houses there. The property is the quintessential charming lake house. The porch with rocking chairs was just a wonderful touch. I hope to make this a tradition for our family."

  • One of our favorites

"Our group of 7 couples go away this weekend every year. This was our 24th annual weekend and our third time staying at Pharaoh View Lodge. It's the perfect size with plenty of places to divide up if the group has different interests. This was important as the Saturday of our stay was pouring and we couldn't be outside. There is lots of space, corners and nooks and crannies to play games, have quiet conversation, nap, etc. The Great Room furniture is comfy. We had a fire roaring in the fireplace. Because we cook our own meals, we were happy to have the extra stove and refrigerator on the porch. The kitchen is well equipped and our group rarely finds a table we can all eat at, but there's a perfect one here looking out over the lake. There's a washer/dryer although for two nights, we didn't use. Due to the weather, we did not take out any of the boats on the shoreline...canoe, rowboat, pedal boat, etc. but we did find a sunny couple hours to play volleyball at the court near the lake. It's a very peaceful area. There is a market and Stewart's shop within a few miles. Our dealings with the owner have always been pleasant."
