  • beautiful, quiet retreat

"This place is great! We stayed three nights - and could have stayed a month. A perfect place for a very quiet, relaxing vacation. I recommend it."

  • Modern, clean, and cozy!

"What a fantastic place to stay! The pictures do not do Jack's place justice. My family and I stayed over the Thanksgiving holiday and couldn't have asked for better accommodations. The kitchen was big and allowed plenty of space for cooking and eating. Each bedroom was spacious and the bathrooms were clean and updated (we really enjoyed the heated floors in the master bath)! The location was perfect and was just a short walk to downtown. I highly recommend this property and we look forward to visiting again!"

  • Cozy and quiet, great location

"We stayed at Little Peak for a week, our first visit to the Adirondacks, with our primary purpose of hiking and exploring the outdoors. The cabin was cozy and perfect for the two of us. The kitchen was very well-stocked with pots/pans/dishware/knives/utensils, etc., which was exactly what we were looking for as we cooked in more often than we ate out. The front porch/patio was great for eating meals outside. It has great access to Lake Placid, Whiteface Mountain, and the high peaks region. The only drawbacks were: no washer/dryer unit, given our length of stay and how dirty we were from hiking; the hot water heater is pretty small so we had to wait 1/2 hour between our showers (which were short) to have enough for both of us; and the spiral staircase takes some dexterity, so anyone who has difficulty with stairs might have trouble with it. Overall, Little Peak was a great fit for our needs and we would love to stay here again if traveling to the area in the future."

  • A Great Getaway

"This place is a gem - remote enough to be away from it all, but located centrally to be able to explore the area. The kitchen had all the cooking gear needed for eating in, and the layout of the house is quite nice, taking advantage of the view of Beaver Pond. The owner was prompt in answering questions before and during our stay. The place was spotless when we arrived. As noted in another review, the dock is not right in front of the house, but about a very easy 5 minute walk on the very quiet road. The fire pit outside is a nice addition, too. The Pharoah Lake trail head is just up the road and makes a great day hike."
