  • Wonderful!

"We had a fantastic stay at the All-Play Cottage. The house was clean, meticulously decorated, the interior and exterior was also well maintained. I was very impressed with Judy and her lovely home. We could tell how much she cared for it. The amenities provided everything we needed for our stay and it was very close to the town of Lake Placid and Saranac. We have been coming up to Placid and Saranac for the past 13 years. My husband, son and I agreed this was one of the best trips we've had. Hopefully we will be able to rent this home next summer = )"

  • Beautiful Views

"We went to North Creek NY to ski at Gore. This had a beautiful view of the top of Gore from the large living room windows, and was only 5 minutes from the mountain. It is also across the street from Austin Pond. The pictures are pretty accurate. The house has a cozy feel to it. While the home is a bit older, the kitchen was well-equipped, and there were some newer improvements like the gorgeous living room wood floor, and outside deck. There were towels and linens, and plenty of space for 5 adults and 4 kids. We enjoyed a fire in the massive stone fireplace with the wood that was provided, and truly enjoyed the large open living space. There were no tvs- but we did not miss them. It was a nice change, and we found ourselves playing lots of nostalgic board games instead (provided). We had spotty cell phone service with Verizon, as expected from other reviews, but the internet connection was fine. North Creek NY is a pretty quiet area. However, there was a market a few miles away, and a restaurant, and the Diamond Head area of Lake George is just over a 1/2 hour away. We would definitely stay here again, and perhaps try a different season as well."

  • Great Vacation 2014

"We had a wonderful week, starting with watching the final game of the World Cup and ending with an evening of kayaking and canoeing on Eagle Lake. We swam just about every day, hiked up 2 mountains (one hard, one easy), took out the canoe and the kayaks several times, used the bbq, played games in the evening at the long table, and croquet between adventures during the day. Everyone loved the week here - 3 boys, all teens (well, one 20-yr-old), my husband and me too. Early mornings were quiet - just us sipping coffee, reading by the windows and sometimes hearing the loon. Nights were peaceful and falling asleep to the sound of the loon, an owl and the breeze in the trees was very relaxing and we wished it could have been 2 weeks. There is plenty to do, but you have to drive a bit - always worth it. The Adirondack Museum was just over an hour (but great), hikes everywhere, a day over to Vermont well worth it, and so much to do we could not get to. No wifi for these otherwise addicts, and no complaints all week. Hope to make it back. It was lovely, the house was very clean, very comfortable, very well-outfitted and very private. The owner checked in to see if all was going well (via phone). Highly recommend this place!"

  • Rustic, but cozy and beautiful location.

"This is a rustic cabin that is on beautiful Fern Lake. It was very comfortable for our family of four and our dog. We loved waking up to the song of the loons and watching them swim on the lake either from the porch or while kayaking in one of the 4 kayaks available to us. This is a clean, quiet lake. Perfect for fishing, kayaking or if you have a pontoon boat. The beds were all very comfortable and we slept like the dead! I must clarify what I mean by rustic. There is running water and indoor plumbing! However, you must bring your own drinking water as the water source is the lake. The cabin has electricity and all you would need. No WiFi was a blessed break for us! We would return again as we loved the serenity of the location. The owner also immediately addressed any of our concerns which we greatly appreciated! We also enjoyed hiking Silver Lake Mountain and Cascade Mountain!"
