  • Paradise at Lake Champlain

"My husband and I took our two grandchildren, 11 and 13, on vacation, and a wonderful memory was created. The home was clean, well appointed, and comfortable. Its location in a well protected cove was ideal. The owners, Barbara Payee and Doug Young, were friendly and helpful, but never intrusive. Days were spent fishing, boating, tubing, and swimming. Evenings were for barbecues and toasting smores in their firepit. We took our 17' boat to Burlington, Vermont, which was 15 minutes away. Another day, we drove our grandchildren to Quebec, Canada, which was about a half hour away. We would highly recommend this scenic retreat to everyone."

  • Beautiful & totally relaxing

"Spent an amazing Thanksgiving holiday at this super comfortable house! Even with 19 family members, there were beds to spare (and never any fighting for bathrooms)! The game room was a blast, and with three kids under 5 years old, the house was a child's dream with lots of toys and space devoted just to them. The kitchen had everything we needed (2 dishwashers, 4 garbage disposals, 5 sinks and a Viking stove) and the living room had enough seating for all of us to sit and enjoy wine while being warmed by the fire in the beautifully designed fireplace. The Sonos system provided endless internet based music at our fingertips. At the long dining room table, all nineteen of us were able to toast goodbye to the kids' table this year as we shared our Thanksging meal together!! The outside, although a brisk -6° at one point, provided for plenty of snow covered trail expeditions and late night star gazing. Some newbies were even able to see their first shooting stars! The owner, Peggy, was very, very responsive (and there were lots of relatives going WAY out of their comfort zones on this trip). Peggy answered every question quickly which was the next best thing to having her be there to hold everyone's hand! :). All said, everyone had a FANTASTIC time and thoroughly enjoyed themselves; a Thanksgiving full of great memories!! Peggy, thanks so much for sharing your beautiful home!"

  • Summer Retreat

"This was the first time we stayed at this house but hopefully won't be the last! The location is near anything you want to do from hiking to jogging trails, kayak/canoe rentals, shopping in Bolton landing, Jumping spider Rock and any boating activity you can think of and we did it all. The view was spectacular - all meals can be eaten outside in the sun or shade depending on your desire and the weather. Swimming off the dock was enjoyed by all and the water was crystal clear most of the time except when it stormed. We had a couple of stormy days but it didn't last all day so we were able to get in activities every day. The kids could snorkel around the dock and there's a great sand area you can walk into from the dock if you don't want to jump off the dock. We had a family of 5 and we had plenty of room in the house. The house was very nice and kept very clean. The owners were very nice to work with and helpful with all of our questions. The outdoor fire pit was great for evening smores and just relaxing by the waters edge. Everything that you need is there. We really had a great time and can't wait to get back!"

  • We will be back!!!

"We were looking for a home with a lodge feel. We found it. It was roomy, clean, comfortable, modern and private yet convenient! You could comfortably have 3 couples with children in this home. I strongly recommend this property. We cooked twice. The kitchen has a Wolf range and the bar stools were a perfect compliment to the IPA after challenging hikes."
