  • Rustic, but cozy and beautiful location.

"This is a rustic cabin that is on beautiful Fern Lake. It was very comfortable for our family of four and our dog. We loved waking up to the song of the loons and watching them swim on the lake either from the porch or while kayaking in one of the 4 kayaks available to us. This is a clean, quiet lake. Perfect for fishing, kayaking or if you have a pontoon boat. The beds were all very comfortable and we slept like the dead! I must clarify what I mean by rustic. There is running water and indoor plumbing! However, you must bring your own drinking water as the water source is the lake. The cabin has electricity and all you would need. No WiFi was a blessed break for us! We would return again as we loved the serenity of the location. The owner also immediately addressed any of our concerns which we greatly appreciated! We also enjoyed hiking Silver Lake Mountain and Cascade Mountain!"

  • "Outstanding" does not begin to capture how special this place is...

"I grew up looking across the water at Heart Bay on Lake George and in my mind it's paradise. This past June, my family had a reunion and rented three places, including Pine. The Cook family are as attentive as you need but give you your space. Pine Cottage provides perfect lakeside ease. This part of L.George is far from the noise and honkytonk of L.George Village 30 miles south. Where do I start? It's achingly beautiful and full of history, crystal clear water, fantastic sailing, swimming, boating and hiking right outside your door. Everything I treasured from memories of my youth."

  • Summer Retreat

"This was the first time we stayed at this house but hopefully won't be the last! The location is near anything you want to do from hiking to jogging trails, kayak/canoe rentals, shopping in Bolton landing, Jumping spider Rock and any boating activity you can think of and we did it all. The view was spectacular - all meals can be eaten outside in the sun or shade depending on your desire and the weather. Swimming off the dock was enjoyed by all and the water was crystal clear most of the time except when it stormed. We had a couple of stormy days but it didn't last all day so we were able to get in activities every day. The kids could snorkel around the dock and there's a great sand area you can walk into from the dock if you don't want to jump off the dock. We had a family of 5 and we had plenty of room in the house. The house was very nice and kept very clean. The owners were very nice to work with and helpful with all of our questions. The outdoor fire pit was great for evening smores and just relaxing by the waters edge. Everything that you need is there. We really had a great time and can't wait to get back!"

  • Best vacation we ever had (and we are seniors)

"Everything that we read was even better in person... First, the Adirondacks... Our first visit, the most tranquil, scenic beauty you will ever enjoy. Nature, history, family fun, water sports, good restaurants, whatever you are looking for, it is here. Secondly, the cabin... pristine, better than described, immaculate, wonderful amenities, and oh that view. You are feet from the most beautiful, expansive lake view you can imagine... quiet with very little evidence of civilization around you. Best of all, Carl and Eilieen freely shared their knowledge and love for the area with us. Almost like having a family concierge on the premises. We now understand why so many visitors are loyal and regular returnees to this heavenly camp. Cannot recommend it more highly. Thank you Carl and Eileen for your warm hospitality, we will see you next year... Steve and Michelle"
