  • Beautiful weather, lovely property and village

"Our family rented this property for Canadian Thanksgiving. The local real estate agent whose firm looks after the property, was very communicative and charming. The house is lovely, spacious and warm, and with a wonderful library. The leaves had begun turning colors, and the weather was wonderful. We enjoyed bonfires at the beach, hiking around town, and a visit to Fort Ticonderoga."

  • Rustic Comfort

"What a lovely spot! The dock, evening fires, the hot tub and paddle board all made for a fun and relaxing week. We found the location excellent for paddling and high peak hiking excursions. And it was oh so wonderful to come back at the end of the day to a cozy, dry house with comfy beds and clean showers."

  • Fantastic cabin, location and Host!

"I stayed here for 3 nights with my wife and 3 month old baby. We could not fault Highland cottage. We were there during the winter and the cabin was extremely cozy and warm. The cabin was extremely homely and the location was very close to town. The Ski shuttle stop at a nearly hotel to whiteface mountain was less than 5 minutes walk away. Cathy was a great host who ensured our stay was enjoyable and was always within easy reach via phone but she was never intrusive during our stay so it was a very private lodge even though her home was next door. Everything was clean, warm, dry and the kitchen was very well stocked. Thank you for your hospitality Cathy! And the cookies too!"
