"What a wonderful cottage on a great lake. My wife and I spent a long weekend here and have fallen in love with this lake and area. We were concerned about how many cottages would be on the lake and how close our neighbors would be to us. Well, the cottages are close together but it didn't seem that way. Our neighbors were very quiet and very friendly. The cottage was perfect for the two of us. It is VERY clean and comfortable and had everything we needed for cooking. The screened in patio is wonderful and we enjoyed cooking on the open grill.
The weather was beautiful while we were there, yet the lake was never busy. We enjoyed the kayaks but did not take advantage of the canoe and row boats which we would have if we had a longer stay. The fishing was fantastic. From the dock in front of the house we caught many bass, yellow perch, and sunfish. If you are looking for a place where the fishing is great... this is it.
We did a lot of driving in the evenings looking for wildlife. There is a dirt road on the other side of the lake that goes thru the mountains and valleys. The first night we were lucky to spot a black bear in the woods along that road... and we saw many deer in the open areas. Back at the cottage, we saw a bald eagle fly over the lake, and had hummingbirds feeding on plants along the lake.
Thanks to Eric for sharing this lovely cottage with us... he is very pleasant and easy to work with."

"We stayed here mid March to access Hunter Mountain with a group of 8 people. The home is located on a VERY secluded road- basically off the beaten path! The guys were able to play football right in the street & I think we only saw 1 car pass by over the whole weekend. Very isolated- which is what we wanted. Close drive to Hunter- about 10 minutes! Home was clean & well equipped. Bathroom was very large & updated. Rooms were spacious enough & there was also a fold out couch in the living room. Open plan upstairs, which was good for a group of 8. Large covered grill was right outside the kitchen for convenience. The jacuzzi was clean & a nice touch after a long day of snowboarding. Yard was big but we didn't get much use because it was snow covered. The downstairs entertainment area was a really nice add on! We spent a lot of time playing pool, ping-pong, and foosball. The washer and dryer looked newer (also downstairs) but we didn't use it since we only stayed for 2 nights. The owner was very prompt with communication and was available for any questions we might have. House is also equipped with wifi, which was great for playing our own music on our Beats Box. :)"

"We've spent 2 nights at this adorable cottage. The place is very clean. Beautiful private settings. The incredible views, very close to restaurants. Jane recommended to go to Cooper Lake which had amazing views. Thank you Jane and Billy, will try to come back soon :)

"This house, this land, this town is a dream. You leave the city and you wake up in a fairytale. My husband, and most recently our new baby, have been staying at this home for over 3 years and each time we find the trip to be more fulfilling then the last. One could spend a lifetime on the porch alone! But the community offers many day trips to tease you away and fill your day with joy! The local food scene (inclusive of all the fresh farm goods, local restaurants, and the food coop) ensure your stay is filled with delicious treats. And the surrounding villages provide endless entertainment. I cannot, with words, cast the spell on you that this house will! The owner is great to work with, easily assessable if you have questions and will point you in the direction you need to have a great stay. Catskill Hollow cannot be beat! It IS the heart of the Catskills."
