"Ten friends and I wanted to get out of the city for the weekend, and this was the perfect cozy escape. During the day, we went hiking, exploring, and fishing (limited during the winter). The view of the reservoir is amazing. At night, we enjoyed the fire pit outside and the woodburning stove inside. There's plenty of nature to enjoy outside and enough room inside to relax and unwind. Bill stopped by to show us around and was very helpful. The only very minor issues were when we blew a fuse (our fault!) but we just went down to the basement and flipped the switch in the fuse box. In addition, we didnt have cell phone service at the house (there is Internet/wifi) which made it hard when we first got in; we realized after we explored that there are landlines throughout the house and in the barn.
We brought our dog, who adored being out of the city and running around nature. Also, there are chickens, so fresh eggs for breakfast!
Will definitely return! Thanks for the memories!"

"We had a great time! The place is very cozy and the location was great as I didn't need to use my car once we got there (which was perfect as the temperature was below freezing). Mary was also very friendly and responsive to any questions. Would totally come back!"

"What a fantastic property!
We also had grand plans of wine tours, shopping in Woodstock and seeing the river but then never left the grounds once we got to the house. The drive up the side of the mountain (follow her directions!) was a perfect transition from city life to a mountain sanctuary. The weather was perfect and every night we made sure to be on the expansive deck for the sunset.
The lawn volley ball court was a great addition, the horse shoe pits were a big hit, the views from the deck were inspiring, the game room was well used and the fire pit was a staple of every night.
We had a large group of friends (but no couples) and this house was able to sleep everyone very comfortably (all eleven of us) without having to double up in beds.. something which, admittedly, guys don't do very well.
I was once a property manager in Telluride, CO for multi-million dollar homes and I dealt with owners that had very high standards. I can honestly say that the Maddock's attention to detail with their home and how they managed the whole rental process was nothing but professional.
I would absolutely recommend you contact the Maddock's for anyone that is interested in a seamless getaway to a gorgeous mountain retreat."

"We had a wonderful time staying at this home in Woodstock for a week. It is beautiful and clean and has all the amenities that my family needed: a gourmet kitchen, luxurious steam shower, gorgeous property and beautiful windows and skylights. My family was so comfortable and we had a great relaxing fall vacation at this house! Karyn provided exceptional customer service. We can't wait to come back again!"
