  • Truly Relaxing!

"When my fiancé and I first walked into the Blue Pearl we were in awe. Much bigger then we anticipated, we walked around taking in the sun shining from the skylights throughout the living room space and bedroom. (There is a shade for the skylight in the bedroom for those sensitive to sunlight in the AM). The kitchen was very cute and well equipped with anything you may need for a nice meal. It was nice to have different types of tea provided if you were in the mood for a cup on a cozy night or first thing in the morning. The bathroom has great hot water and the basic essentials you may need with fresh towels. We loved the small fireplace that was put in the cottage for ambience. There is good heating and AC in the cottage. Cd's and a small radio, chess, checkers and cards, books are provided for your down time. This place was very clean and the decor was like no other... It was a bit nippy outside for this time of year so we decided not to sit out front in the garden but we would love to when we come back! There are lots of shops near by which we loved and had a great time buying a few things. The people in the small town near by are very friendly. The restaurants near by have good food. A lot of organic ingredients which is always a plus for me! Overall we had a very relaxing stay and would love to revisit!"

  • WinterPalooza

"Every year, a group of friends and family go away and on MLK Weekend we chose RiverView Estate by Brophy. The property consisted of three separate houses all on the same property and was absolutely fantastic. Each one was neat, clean, had multiple bedrooms/beds, kitchens etc. It accommodated our group of 11 families consisting of 30 people. The views were fantastic, it provided a large comfortable area for our group to relax and catch up for a fun weekend. The houses had fireplaces, a gym, jacuzzi, TV and other amenities. The employees/owner checked in with us frequently as the weather was bad one night, and someone was available for us 24/7. The kids hiked and went sleigh riding and adults had a perfect setting to just relax and enjoy time together. I highly recommend this property for a quiet weekend getaway."

  • Absolutely perfect

"We went here for my wife's 40th bday. Her parents, her brother, myself, my wife, our 4 yr old son, and our golden retriever. Everyone was comfortable and had a fantastic time. The leaves were peak color. The hot tub was unreal. Jets were strong and it felt good. We built a bonfire next to the lake and made smores. Chewy swam in the pond and chased several deer. We made a fire inside the house as well. Used the grill. Played tons of pool on the amazing pool table downstairs. Star gazed at night. The view from the deck is mind blowing. Just cant get enough of it. You are secluded enough, but still a couple min from the town for groceries. Not a bad market either! We hiked, took a train ride for the kid, ate at the Peekamoose for dinner one night and explored Phoenicia. What else? Oh, did I mention the beds? They were sooo comfortable! I slept like a baby. kept the sliding door open and the cool air was great for sleeping. Wifi worked fine. Ipod/bose unit for music. Even several TVs if so inclined, but we barely used any electronics (only to get directions and one football game. guilty). A welcome break from city life. Will definitely be back."
