  • A Great Experience!

"My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this home away from home. It met our needs on so many levels. The rental is lovely and contains every amenity you might need for a short or long stay. We stayed 5 nights and were able to entertain other family members staying in the area with dinner and good family fun. The rental is situated along the Delaware river and you are able to watch it from the deck in the back of the house. The rental is even better than the pictures on the web site. The property is clean and well maintained. The rental agent responded to all our questions promptly. I would highly recommend you consider this property if you are planning to visit the area. There are restaurants and shopping in the little town of Callicoon. Matthew's is especially good if you are looking for some great food. The last thing I'll say is that I hope my family and I have the opportunity to repeat our visit to this lovely and welcoming property."

  • Great property, beautiful home!

"Our second time in 2 years staying here and it is truly a wonderful home. Spacious yet warm and cozy, perfect for a family or group. Open living space with kitchen and family/dining with huge fireplace! Tastefuly decorated and meant to be enjoyed in a very private setting with beautiful views! 5 minutes to Boiceville/Phoenecia and 20 minutes to Hunter mountain. Everything you need, just bring groceries and family/friends!"

  • A nice escape from the city

"My wife, 2 year old son and I stayed at Tusten Farms Manor House for a week in June and really enjoyed ourselves. We were looking to get out of the city and just spend some quality time together (most of our trips seem to be with friends or extensive family). The house is at the end of private road with only two other homes and is surrounded by trees. You can't see the neighbors and it certainly makes you feel like you have your own bit of peace and quiet. The tennis court and pool are situated a little bit away from the house and are themselves surrounded by trees which makes for a great setting as you feel like you're swimming or playing in the middle of a forest and not in a backyard. We used the pool every day. The home is well kept and the owner responsive in terms of answering questions, returning the security deposit, etc. The drive from/to Manhattan was about 2 hours but on the way we took our time and stopped at Whole Foods and a few other places to pick up items for the week. If you're looking for fresh air, quiet, and a nice home with pool to enjoy both (i.e. a break from the city) then Tusten Farms Manor House is likely for you. It was one of our more relaxing, enjoyable trips."

  • Perfect little haven.

"My husband and I have been coming to this charming little barn (converted ) cabin for years now. At least five. I can never rave about it enough. It is so adorable and away from all the stress of the city. In all the years we have been coming Mirav has continued to maintain the cabin and property to keep it comfortable and estetically pleasing. All the reviews that speak of how kind Mirav is are no exaggerations. Mirav goes out of her way to be as helpful as possible. Throughout the years she has left wine out for us, extended checkout times and even added an extra day on the house! Anytime we need help with anything she runs over right away, while still leaving us privacy. The cabin is so cozy and simply just makes you feel nice. The hot tub brings the experience to an even higher level. I always look forward to gazing up at the stars in the freezing cold while being enveloped by the warmth of the soothing hot tub. As for amenities it has just what anyone could want or need. As for a stove ( I noticed someone complained about not having one) this is not that type of cabin. Its the kind of place you go when u don't want to cook or work lol. It's got a hot plate and for anyone who wants to do more there is a huge charbroil grill outside. ( yes even in the winter we go out there and slap our steaks and burgers on and are quite happy.. It's actually fun) My husband and I love the firmness of the bed. We have a soft bed at home and realize that Everytime we come back from the cabin our backs feel better and we are more rested. In fact we are in the market for a new mattress and will be getting a firm one as well this time around. As I said in the beginning I can never rave about this spot enough. From the customer service that Mirav provides, to the ambiance, the location and even how close the ski lodge is there is really nothing you can complain about. I have visited many other cabins but this Is the only one my husband and I come back to year after year. I look forward to many more years. My only complaint is how much I hate leaving when it's time to go.. To anyone who might think this is some sort of shrill review I can assure you it's not. It's Merely a very happy " patron"! ( now if I could only see a bear one year!! But I guess that's my fault for coming mainly in the wintertime lol) Best regards Mirav! Till next year!!"
