"My family stayed at the house for 1 month and had a wonderful time. The house was as described and looked brand new. House and kitchen had all the amenities we could want (including a fantastic blender!). We had one small problem and help was there in no time!
I think they must have changed the bed in the master since the last review because we found a very comfortable queen mattress.
The neighborhood is very quiet and neighbors are so far apart you really don't know they are there. Lake is small but nice for paddling around, my children went for a row or paddle almost every day - if you are looking for serious fishing you will need to go to one of the very nearby rivers.
Livingston Manor and Roscoe are both cool little towns with great restaurants and a very authentic German bakery."

"This is a great cabin. We stayed for a few days that were unfortunately very wet and cold, so we didn't get to hang outside of the cabin. But that made the fact that the owners appointed the cabin so well all the more important. Lots of clean linens, towels, etc.; magazines and games; cooking equipment, glass and silverware; etc. It's too bad we didn't get to stay outside, because the cabin has a very large porch that is comfortable. Everything was immaculate. The shower was warm and strong (nothing I hate more than a weak shower). There is a lake with benches and a little dock by the house. It would have been great to relax by, had the weather cooperated.
The only caveats I might add is that there are other houses/cabins nearby, so you're not isolated in the woods, if that's important to you. And, if you're going when it's cold out, the basement with the pool and ping-pong tables, will also be cold. My kids wanted to play pool but the basement was too cold. There is a wood stove in the basement, but it wasn't worthwhile to build a fire just to play a little pool.
15 minutes from Woodstock, and 2 minutes from the great little town of Phonecia.
Finally, the owners are incredibly nice people and easily reachable."

"Myself and a group of friends stayed in this beautiful lodge for a weekend. The lodge itself is incredible. Pool table, hot tub, and open fire were all ready to go. Clean, comfortable and situated on its own plot of land in a truly gorgeous scenic location, I couldn't recommend enough."
