"We (2 adults and 2 teenagers) loved our three night stay at the red cottage in the woods. Fantastic location - secluded and peaceful while close to Woodstock and Saugerties. The beds are very comfortable and the living spaces, both indoor and outdoor, are conducive to relaxing. I would definitely recommend this rental and will stay there again if I am in the area!"

"This home is a serene, comfortably furnished space surrounded by a stunning, natural landscape. The pool in summer is extremely refreshing and hanging out on the massive patio is lovely -- especially if you enjoy the company of incredibly cute skittering chipmunks. It is close to town, good restaurants and some of the best scenery in NY state."

Unbelievably big house with something for everyone.
"We just returned from a weekend at the "mansion." We were a group of 27 family members three generations (15 grandkids ages 5-25). Everyone had a great time. The game room was wonderful and we actually ended up dancing under the disco ball on the dance floor. The indoor pool was a huge plus, and all the kids had a blast.
The reasons I'm not giving it 5 stars are: there's no central air, and only 4 of the 16 bedrooms have air conditioning; none of the bathrooms upstairs had any towel racks or hooks to hang your towels on; The oversized deck only had one table to seat 6 (and it was rusty) and the deck chairs are those old chalky white plastic ones; there is absolutely no artwork (or photos) of any kind on any wall in the house and the bedrooms didn't have any nightstands or lamps. It really shouldn't be described as a mansion because it isn't. It's just a GIGANTIC house."
