  • Family Ski Weekend!

"What a great long weekend we had! This is our annual ski trip that I give my family as a Christmas present each year for the last 5 or 6 years! This year we were privileged to stay here (Rental # 219692)!! What a great house! There were 6 adults and 3 small children! plenty of room to hang out together and eat. The bedrooms were more than comfortable! and then there is the hot tub!!!!! Holy smokes!! That was great! What a special treat! The owner made everything easy to arrange. She answered all my questions before we took the trip and had alot of recommendations for restaurants and pubs in the area. The caretaker lives in the back house and he arrived within minutes when we had a question. He also made sure we were shoveled out and safe during our 4 days here. I highly recommend this home for your family's retreat! You will walk away smiling for along time with the memories you will have made!!"

  • President's Day Weekend with mixed family

"My experience started with an email. George responds to me quickly and we start a conversation. Super friendly, funny and completely thorough with his description of the place. Everything was handled professionally and I never felt like I was just another customer. We pull up to the property and Katy greets us. Shows us around the house, explains how to use the fire stove (which might be the most amazing invention ever) and tells us a little about the surrounding towns for dinner, drinks and breakfast. The pictures posted do not do it justice. The house is a true log cabin. Real trees make up the walls. The fresh air was amazing. I cannot rave about this property enough. We were three kids under 7 and 6 adults who were all comfortable. And there was room for another couple if need be. The fees were beyond reasonable and the actual rental price was extremely fair. I never ran out of wood and we were there on a cold weekend. George and Katy, thank you so much for allowing us into your home. We look forward to spending some time there again."

  • A weekend in the woods that I'll never forget

"My husband and I hosted our wedding this past September at the chalet and I can honestly say I will never forget the magical weekend we had in the house. It will forever hold a special place in my heart. First, I will say we appreciated the house for all it's beautiful handmade craftsman grandeur. The house has a warm and comforting quality to it and when it's filled with your friends or family you will appreciate that. I can't see how you couldn't make wonderful memories to last a lifetime here. We fit 11 of our dear loved ones in the house, we found the accommodations very friendly to a large group. Great kitchen upstairs stocked with things you need to cook and entertain. Washer and dryer was super helpful. Living room upstairs is extremely cozy. Bedrooms are clean and inviting, perfect to relax and get away from the group if you need some time alone. We made use of the backyard behind the house to host approximately 55 guests, a bar and buffet and it was perfect. Susanna, the property manager is super helpful and responsive and a dream to work with. I can't say enough good things. Stay here!"

  • Wall of Windows

"My wife and I stayed in the Zen Love Nest for 3 nights. The house looked as it did in the pictures, maybe better. One side of the house, upstairs and downstairs is all windows with no curtains. Curtains are not needed, as no one can see in, you are surrounded by woods and greenery. The hot tub on the deck was perfect for stargazing and relaxing. We were thrilled to see 2 deer in the forrest, even though we hoped they'd come a little closer. The grill on the deck was of good quality. The house was wonderful, as was our stay. The only word of caution...there is only one air conditioner in the main living space. As everything is open, it is difficult to get it cool on a very warm day. At night there was a breeze and also fans in the bedrooms to make it cooler. There was a great soft ice cream stand very close by, and a small market that sold fresh bread and groceries. The supermarket was a little further, but still not too far. Finally, the owner, Keith, was very pleasant and responsible, promptly answering all questions we had. We would highly recommend this lovely property!"
