  • Wonderful place

"We had a great time at the cabin. It's well-located, peaceful, very spacious, nicely decorated, clean and has great outdoor space. There is a modern kitchen, bathroom and fireplace. The owners were very helpful and provided good recommendations of outdoor activities and restaurants in town. Our dog also loved it. Highly recommended. Thanks for everything!"

  • Unbelievably big house with something for everyone.

"We just returned from a weekend at the "mansion." We were a group of 27 family members three generations (15 grandkids ages 5-25). Everyone had a great time. The game room was wonderful and we actually ended up dancing under the disco ball on the dance floor. The indoor pool was a huge plus, and all the kids had a blast. The reasons I'm not giving it 5 stars are: there's no central air, and only 4 of the 16 bedrooms have air conditioning; none of the bathrooms upstairs had any towel racks or hooks to hang your towels on; The oversized deck only had one table to seat 6 (and it was rusty) and the deck chairs are those old chalky white plastic ones; there is absolutely no artwork (or photos) of any kind on any wall in the house and the bedrooms didn't have any nightstands or lamps. It really shouldn't be described as a mansion because it isn't. It's just a GIGANTIC house."

  • The BEST in the area!

"This home is, by far, offers the best accommodations in the Sullivan County, NY, region. The home is well-stocked, clean, updated, spacious, and beautiful. We literally wanted for nothing! The owner couldn't be more helpful and friendly, and kept us updated on various "goings-on" and things to do across the county. Our party consisted of my husband, me, our two adult daughters, one son-in-law, our three year-old granddaughter, and a dog. Had the weather cooperated, we'd have certainly indulged in lake and outdoor activities (kayaks, oars (possibly fishing poles?), included)! The location itself overlooks the lake, is nestled in a wooded area (we saw a family of deer meandering one morning), and is also minutes from the original Woodstock site, as is the companion Bethel Arts & Entertainment Center (the Woodstock Museum is a MUST see). This home also offered indoor activities, to include two, delightful, reading, nooks, a pool table, mini foos ball table, cards, board games, etc. You'll not regret choosing this home! We hope to stay there upon our return to that area. Note: My out-of-town brother chose a VRBO home in Swan Lake, NY, and his group was unhappy there for myriad reasons. In sum, I cannot possibly recommend this home in stronger terms!!"

  • Lovely Relaxing Country Farmhouse

"Christmas, with views of farms and rolling hills. We didn't get snow, but everything else was perfect. We read books and cooked and enjoyed our time together. Everything was closed for a few days, and that was fine with us. The farmhouse, now painted a pretty shade of green, was perfect. Rooms are close to each other, except the upstairs, so we were always together instead of spread out throughout the house. The bed, with a memory foam mattress, is extremely comfortable. Cooking in the kitchen was comfortable. Although the warm temperatures prevented the use of the 1926 stove, it was a beauty to look at. The home is very clean and well maintained. We met Barbara, Scott and Eleanor and knew they were there for us if we had any questions. The fresh eggs were a delight. This was an odd time of year to visit local shops as many were closed. We did drive to Oneonta and eat at Brook's Barbecue, a busy crowded restaurant. We arrived with big appetites and found the food good. The bookstores in Hobart were fantastic and we spent hours browsing the collections. Thank you Barbara, Scott and Eleanor for such a wonderful visit!"
