  • A warm and inviting home!

"We were lucky to find the wonderful home, my extended family and I spent a wonderful and very comfortable weekend at this lovely home in the woods. The house is well cared for and the beds were very comfortable. The homeowner left thoughtful extras in case things were forgotten, and the kitchen was very well equipped. The property is so pretty, I wish we had more time to walk around, but we were very busy with a family wedding. The artwork in the home is really very good and interesting, and one of our piano players enjoyed the baby grand, and I loved it also as it is the same one I have, a chickering, I never see them. The whole family agreed they would stay here again, and it is one of the best homes we have ever been fortunate enough to rent."

  • Sensational Weekend Wedding Event!

"An absolute gem! My partner and I celebrated our wedding here, and it was perfect! Christine and Susanna were a breeze to work with and made it very easy for us. From the first day we booked to the actual day/event they both were very helpful! Such great support. The house was perfect for us, we had a small-ish gathering of people for our day and the house spacious and stylish, just what we wanted. The view from the house is breathtaking and made for wonderful pictures. The perfect backdrop :) A fireplace on eery level and luxurious bedding and sofas made our stay even more comfortable. I definitely would recommend for anyone else planning their next weekend away or event."

  • Comfortable cabin in the woods

"Cabin 1 was really great for a weekend away. The area was secluded, but still could see neighboring houses. It really felt like the kind of place that was exciting but comfortable. Every morning there were huge pileated woodpeckers we could see out the windows or while relaxing in the hot tub. So cool. The house is Very clean and bright. The fireplace was ready for us and we brought in 3 bags of wood from the local Stewart's for a comfy fire. The kitchen had pots, pans, utensils, coffeemaker, microwave... Everything we needed for the groceries we brought in and it was a quick drive into town for some shopping and people watching. I can't wait to try out the other cabins on future visits."

  • Peaceful but not too far away from town

"The two of us decided last minute to book this cabin for one night. The owner was awesome in responding promptly and getting us booked within a few hours. The cabin itself is very comfortable and had everything we needed for a night. There is even an electric grill outside if you wanted to use it. Woodstock is within walking distance but for the winter I would say just make the drive. It's probably too cold to be making the 20-25 minute walk now. There were houses close by so although you had the feeling of seclusion, you were not completely alone in the woods. This was nice because when we woke up the next morning we found out that it had snowed. However a friendly neighbor had plowed the driveway for us so we had no trouble getting out. Overall, a very peaceful, and beautiful cabin to stay at. Outside porch and grill is a plus, along with the beautiful bathtub. The TV had cable and a DVDS player if you wanted to bring DVDs to play. Sound system sounded great in the cabin, but the dock only supports the older iPod and iPhone models (non lighting cable). Only issue I had was that the curtains in the bedroom were more for decoration and didn't cover the whole window. Let in a lot of light and woke me up before I wanted to. One tip, the stone floors are really cold during the winter. Maybe bring some slippers."
