  • Phenomenal Weekend Getaway

"This house is amazing! The design and attention to detail is exceptional. From the view of the creek, to the linens, to the kitchen appliances, it is clear that the owners have created a luxury experience for their guests. It was hard for my family to leave and we are already making plans for our next trip!"

  • Absolutely perfect

"We went here for my wife's 40th bday. Her parents, her brother, myself, my wife, our 4 yr old son, and our golden retriever. Everyone was comfortable and had a fantastic time. The leaves were peak color. The hot tub was unreal. Jets were strong and it felt good. We built a bonfire next to the lake and made smores. Chewy swam in the pond and chased several deer. We made a fire inside the house as well. Used the grill. Played tons of pool on the amazing pool table downstairs. Star gazed at night. The view from the deck is mind blowing. Just cant get enough of it. You are secluded enough, but still a couple min from the town for groceries. Not a bad market either! We hiked, took a train ride for the kid, ate at the Peekamoose for dinner one night and explored Phoenicia. What else? Oh, did I mention the beds? They were sooo comfortable! I slept like a baby. kept the sliding door open and the cool air was great for sleeping. Wifi worked fine. Ipod/bose unit for music. Even several TVs if so inclined, but we barely used any electronics (only to get directions and one football game. guilty). A welcome break from city life. Will definitely be back."

  • Unbelievably big house with something for everyone.

"We just returned from a weekend at the "mansion." We were a group of 27 family members three generations (15 grandkids ages 5-25). Everyone had a great time. The game room was wonderful and we actually ended up dancing under the disco ball on the dance floor. The indoor pool was a huge plus, and all the kids had a blast. The reasons I'm not giving it 5 stars are: there's no central air, and only 4 of the 16 bedrooms have air conditioning; none of the bathrooms upstairs had any towel racks or hooks to hang your towels on; The oversized deck only had one table to seat 6 (and it was rusty) and the deck chairs are those old chalky white plastic ones; there is absolutely no artwork (or photos) of any kind on any wall in the house and the bedrooms didn't have any nightstands or lamps. It really shouldn't be described as a mansion because it isn't. It's just a GIGANTIC house."

  • A nice escape from the city

"My wife, 2 year old son and I stayed at Tusten Farms Manor House for a week in June and really enjoyed ourselves. We were looking to get out of the city and just spend some quality time together (most of our trips seem to be with friends or extensive family). The house is at the end of private road with only two other homes and is surrounded by trees. You can't see the neighbors and it certainly makes you feel like you have your own bit of peace and quiet. The tennis court and pool are situated a little bit away from the house and are themselves surrounded by trees which makes for a great setting as you feel like you're swimming or playing in the middle of a forest and not in a backyard. We used the pool every day. The home is well kept and the owner responsive in terms of answering questions, returning the security deposit, etc. The drive from/to Manhattan was about 2 hours but on the way we took our time and stopped at Whole Foods and a few other places to pick up items for the week. If you're looking for fresh air, quiet, and a nice home with pool to enjoy both (i.e. a break from the city) then Tusten Farms Manor House is likely for you. It was one of our more relaxing, enjoyable trips."
