  • Absolutely beautiful spacious home near Windham

"Great home, very spacious. We had two families (total of two couples and 5 boys ages 5-13). Plenty of room, three nice bedrooms including a master bath with jacuzzi tub. Loft bedroom with 4 bunks and a pullout. And a massive finished basement as well. Everything is up to date and clean (kitchen is huge, with an eat in area and a separate dining room space that we didn't even use). Great fireplace, beautiful outdoor views of the mountains. About 10 minute drive to Windham with amazing views along rt 23. Owners very nice and easy to deal with. Will definitely be back."

  • Great vacation

"We had a wonderful week! We loved having the water right outside the house - we swam & kayaked. The location was great. Very convenient - we walked into town & the drive to the market was 5 minutes. Great hiking & cycling nearby. We BBQ'd most nights & ate out back with the beautiful view of the water. The master bedroom is beautiful. The house was a good size for the 5 of us. The owners were very accommodating & very easy to work with. We hope to stay here again."

  • Very cozy, homey, warm, comfortable, relaxing.

"This house is definitely one of my favorite places to be during the winter time. It's the second time I've rented it and definitely won't be the last. The property is huge and the view is tremendously gorgeous. Waking up in the morning to a view of a lake and the mountains in the background is breathtaking. Very private. Very safe. And the amenities are incredible. Sauna works amazing and heats up very fast. fireplace is cozy. Couches and beds are comfortable. There's even a flat screen tv with cable (no need for it when you have so much more to enjoy). And definitely a spacious dining area. The owner, Nick, is a very pleasant person to deal with. Responds immediately to emails, calls, and texts. And over all is a very nice person from what I can tell by my experience dealing with him. I have absolutely no complaints except the fact that I did not want to go back home! Definitely coming back!"

  • Great little cottage in a quiet neighborhood

"This was my first trip to the town of Woodstock, and I stayed in this pleasant cottage for a week. It is a clean and comfortable little place which is located in the back of a large lot behind the owner's home in a VERY quiet neighborhood. It was so quiet and peaceful there that sometimes it seemed like I was out far away from civilization! One morning I looked out and saw a deer just outside the cottage. Although I felt like I was worlds away in peaceful seclusion, I was conveniently located on the edge of town within walking distance of the center of Woodstock. The Upstate Cinema, which is a small church-like structure that screens independent films, is a five-minute stroll away. Rick's Wood-Fired Pizza--which I recommend--is next to the little cinema. I really enjoyed walking through the quiet neighborhood to the little cinema to watch a film in the evening. Walking into the center of Woodstock (or, for me, riding my bike) was a pleasant experience, and I didn't have to worry about parking the car anywhere in the center of town. Adjacent to the cottage is a rather large artist's studio, and I think it is available to rent as well. All of this is under the shade of the large trees on the lot. And last but not least, the owner, Barbara, is a very pleasant person who made sure that everything was perfect for my stay. She was not there during the weekdays while I was there, but I had the chance to talk to her briefly on the weekend when she came up from the city. Before I arrived, she had given me her number in NYC if I needed anything during the week, but there was no need, as the cottage was prepared perfectly for my week-long stay. I loved my vacation here at this little place in Woodstock, and I've already told Barbara that I'll likely come back next year!"
