  • A Very Nice Place to Stay, and Mike Rocks!

"I booked the apartment to stay while my son played (and slept) at Cooperstown Dreams Park, and I am glad I did. First, Mike Bollo was extremely easy to work with. There were absolutely no problems booking the apartment. Mike provided excellent instructions to access the property and he returned my security deposit the day after I checked out. No fuss, no games, just easy accomodating business. Mike gets 5 stars. The apartment does sleep 4 (two full beds.) It was clean and ready for use when I arrived. Sheets were clean, as were the towels and washcloths. I did not use the kitchen for anything but making coffee, so I will not comment on anything else. There appeared to be enough utensils and pots and pans to feed four. (Although, Mike, I would have 4 wine glasses installed.) The bathroom was small but absolutely clean and usable. Nice flat screen TV. Laundry below in the basement was fine, but watch your head if you are tall! In talking with other parents renting in the area, I deduced that this apartment is well above average for the area/price. This apartment gets 4 stars. There are two drawbacks that Mike cannot control. First, as advertised, the cell phone coverage is negligible. Mike's WiFi and land line work fine, but until the locals demand a tower or two forget about your texts and calls. Also, the house sits on Route 205, which is a popular thoroughfare for cars and trucks. If you plan to leave for the day, no trouble. But if you plan on spending some daytime at the apartment, you will hear the road noise. You may want to consider Mike's carriage house, which is much further away from the road. So while the area is lovely and convenient for Cooperstown activity, I have to give it 3 stars. (I could manage the road noise, but since I was working during the week, really missed the cell coverage.) Plain and simple, while there were two drawbacks, I would rent the same apartment. And I would certainly do business with Mike any time."

  • Perfect location! Great house!

"We just returned from a week in Cooperstown for baseball and stayed at Putnam house. The location is perfect. 3 miles from the Dreams Park, 4 miles from downtown Cooperstown and 2.5 miles from Ommegang brewery. We had 3 families together share the house with younger siblings while boys and dad's stayed in baseball barracks. Perfect for kids who spent every free minute either in the pool or the game room. The pool was the best part and really clean. Everything was wonderful. Bob, the owner was great to work with and even stopped by. The house is comfortable and clean with plenty of space. Sheets and towels were provided which was so helpful. We were even able to grill out. The games and puzzles were a nice touch! The surrounding landscape is beautiful as well. We had such a memorable week in Cooperstown and we all loved staying here. Highly recommended!"

  • “It is a warm and friendly atmosphere.”

"We've been coming through Richfield Springs and visiting the Lake House for many years. From time-to-time, we stop for a drink or two at the tavern and then enjoy the grounds, and lunch or dine there, but we've never stayed there. We finally decided to, and we're so glad we did. What a wonderful experience -it is a warm and friendly atmosphere - we so much enjoyed our stay. The staff were friendly and helpful - without exception, treating us as if we were their special guests - at least, that's how they made us feel. Do yourself a favor like we did - we only stayed one night, but having done so, we now can't wait to come back and do it again - and we will!"

Enjoy The Sights From The Comfort Of A Spacious Vacation Home

So you want to go on a vacation, but you're sick of spending time in hotels. We don't blame you a bit. After all, hotels are cramped, overstuffed, and completely impersonal. When you stay in a vacation home, you'll get the personal touch that's sorely lacking from hotel rooms, plus tons more. More bedrooms, more bathrooms, and more space in general means you'll be a lot more comfortable staying in one of the Central Leatherstockings cabins than a hotel. Plus you get amenities like a full kitchen, so you can cook your own meals without relying on continental breakfasts or room service for meals, and in some cases porches, decks, hot-tubs and fireplaces—great for recuperating after a long day outside.

History, Culture, and Outdoor Activities Abound in Cooperstown

The jaw-dropping natural beauty of Cooperstown is just one reason to pay the town a visit. There are plenty of museums to check out, including the Baseball and Soccer Halls of Fame. Golfers can enjoy a plethora of beautiful courses, and nature enthusiasts have plenty of state parks and forests to explore.
