  • President Weekend

"The pictures can't fully describe how beautiful this cabin is. My friends and I (group of 12 people) stayed there during President's Day weekend and our group really enjoyed our stay. All of my friends really loved this cabin and complimented how beautiful is the decoration, the interior, and cleanliness. This place was very luxurious and everything is fully stocked and well-put. I can't recommend enough for other groups staying here, I wonder how great this place must be during summer time. I noticed that there are life jackets provided for kayaking during summer months. Although it was snowing during our stay, but we've such a great time for bonding inside the cabin and it's very warm inside, thanks to the heating radiant floor throughout the whole cabin. Bill is such a great host to us, although in the beginning he seems skeptical to rent his cabin to us (a group of young adults), however, after everything was booked, he is very accommodating and easy to to communicate, considering we drove from New York on Friday night and arrived there around 1am, he is very flexible about the checkout time. Thank you Bill for helping us to call the snowplower to plow the driveway since our van was having difficulty of climbing up the driveway. Some points I would like to bring to your attention would be that the water from the kitchen faucet had some strong odor, so we've kinda reluctant to drink water from the faucet directly and the kitchen trash bag ran out pretty quick since we cooked a lot during our stay, so we had to stop by the supermarket nearby."

  • The ONLY place to stay if you are attending Dreams Park Tournaments

"We booked this home because of the proximity to Dreams Park but it only took us moments after walking in the door to view it as so much more than a "great location." It was absolutely charming! It was so warm and inviting. My husband said it was like being on vacation but feeling "at home" because it was so comfortable. All of the furniture and décor are very well thought out, functional and comfortable. The family room/dining room has a great open feeling and larger windows that overlook beautiful grounds which makes the house feel even that much larger. Both bathrooms are very nice. All of the beds and pillows are comfortable like in your home rather than a homeowner just throwing something in there to fill space. The washer and dryer are on the main floor which is super convenient. The baseball themed items in some of the rooms are a great touch and very interesting. And of course, back to one of the key selling features for us....location..... When we pulled out of Dreams Park, we barely began to discuss a game and then realized we were already pulling in the driveway. The proximity was awesome for attending the tournament. We ran home in between every game. it made it very convenient for eating healthier food, less expensive and not having to wait in outrageous lines at the restaurants. The homeowner, Darlene, was "darling!" She was so responsive and patient when I sent her questions in advance. We were fortunate enough to meet her when we arrived and she was absolutely delightful. She genuinely cared about our stay and even went out of her way to take care of us AFTER our stay when she shipped items back to us that we forgot. We loved this property!"

  • Highly Recommend

"My family and I were visiting the area, like many, because my son was playing in a tournament at Cooperstown Dreams Park. We did not want to be confined to a hotel room and decided to rent a house for the week. We decided on Tuscarora after seeing the beautiful pictures and great reviews online. While we were a 20 minute drive to the park, it was worth the little bit of extra drive time to enjoy such a beautiful property (the drive itself is quite scenic and pleasant). After being at baseball games all day, it was so nice to come back to a relaxing environment whether to sit outside on the beautiful patio or by the pond. While the house is geographically close to the park it felt a world away. Depending on the day's game schedule, we would sometimes come back between games and it was a nice reprieve from a lot of baseball (in fact my daughter brought some of the teenaged sisters of the team back for an afternoon and they raved about the house for the rest of the week). Greg is a terrific host and made sure we were all set and gave us some great recommendations for some local restaurants. I would highly recommend renting Tuscarora to anyone but particularly if you are in the area for baseball. I think it is a much better option than some of the hotels that may be a bit closer. Like us, you will be glad you made the decision."

  • Dream Park Escape

"While my son played baseball in Dreams Park (23 min away) we got to escape to the lake in between games. We had all the comforts of home PLUS the lake - swimming, boating, rowing, fishing, fire pit, gas and charcoal grill and a deck that over looks it all! The owners hospitality is exceptional! Couldn't have felt more welcome. Love the Sleeping Lion!"
