"I booked the apartment to stay while my son played (and slept) at Cooperstown Dreams Park, and I am glad I did.
First, Mike Bollo was extremely easy to work with. There were absolutely no problems booking the apartment. Mike provided excellent instructions to access the property and he returned my security deposit the day after I checked out. No fuss, no games, just easy accomodating business. Mike gets 5 stars.
The apartment does sleep 4 (two full beds.) It was clean and ready for use when I arrived. Sheets were clean, as were the towels and washcloths. I did not use the kitchen for anything but making coffee, so I will not comment on anything else. There appeared to be enough utensils and pots and pans to feed four. (Although, Mike, I would have 4 wine glasses installed.) The bathroom was small but absolutely clean and usable. Nice flat screen TV. Laundry below in the basement was fine, but watch your head if you are tall! In talking with other parents renting in the area, I deduced that this apartment is well above average for the area/price. This apartment gets 4 stars.
There are two drawbacks that Mike cannot control. First, as advertised, the cell phone coverage is negligible. Mike's WiFi and land line work fine, but until the locals demand a tower or two forget about your texts and calls. Also, the house sits on Route 205, which is a popular thoroughfare for cars and trucks. If you plan to leave for the day, no trouble. But if you plan on spending some daytime at the apartment, you will hear the road noise. You may want to consider Mike's carriage house, which is much further away from the road. So while the area is lovely and convenient for Cooperstown activity, I have to give it 3 stars. (I could manage the road noise, but since I was working during the week, really missed the cell coverage.)
Plain and simple, while there were two drawbacks, I would rent the same apartment. And I would certainly do business with Mike any time."
