"My son played in a week-long tournament at All Star Village, so this was our home away from home for the week. Myself, my wife, and our 4 other sons as well as another couple and their daughter all stayed very comfortably in this home. The house was impeccably clean and large enough for all of us. It was just 20 minutes from ASV, so it offered a great place to retreat to in between games, and the proximity of the park (right in our backyard with a full basketball court, baseball field and playground) was great for my younger boys. I would recommend this house to any family (or families) who is planning a stay in the Cooperstown / Oneonta area. My 10 year old is already looking forward to his ASV experience in a couple of years!"

Many positives to this estate, beautiful with some work to be done
"We pulled up to the estate and were pleasantly surprised by the overall appearance. The scenery is stunning. Located on a 140+ acre working farm, the place can't be faulted for natural beauty. Greg the host is very kind and hospitable. The house itself is very spacious with three large bedrooms and three full baths. The pond up the hill was a welcome respite after a full day of baseball. We were playing at Cooperstown Dreams Park and unfortunately, we would have liked to be a little bit closer to the games. It was about a 25 minute drive from the property, making it difficult to quickly run back to the house between games. However, when we were at the house we did enjoy our time there.
We have stayed at many self catering properties and the one thing I will say is that most of them are solely for rental. Know that at this one, the owner does keep a lot of personal items. A lot of people may be able to overlook this, but we were just not used to this and it gives the appearance that he lives there (at least part of the time). Also, while we were staying there, several workers did come and go and while not overly obtrusive, it was unexpected, especially for my father who was trying to nap one day.
The stair case is a bit more ladder like so for anyone with mobility issues, just know that it is an old farmhouse and staircases were different back then.
Overall, we did enjoy the peaceful outdoor spaces including the front and side patios, grilling on the BBQ, and spending quality time as a family outdoors and unplugged. As Greg will tell you, some of it is still a work in progress, and I can imagine it will really be beautiful when it is all done."

"This charming cottage was perfect for our family and another family in Cooperstown for the tournament. It's a little further away than some of the other homes for rent for this purpose but by far was the best. All other players' families agreed. Situated on a golf course, the cottage (very large and roomy) is nearby the lake and the view from the property is gorgeous. Wildlife abounds (dear, fox, chipmunks galore) and the night sky exquisite. There is ample room for everyone and you'll feel like you really got away! This is a MUST STAY!"
