"Having visited Chautauqua every year since I was young, we have stayed in many homes. This home is by far the best yet. If you are not opposed to staying in older, cozy home, I cannot recommend a better place. We felt as though we knew the family that obviously loves this house and are well loved in the Chautauqua community. They had everything there for us to use. Games, life jackets, a canoe. The dock is large and perfect for swimming and fishing. The porch is perfect for an afternoon rest and to watch the kids swimming. Our children loved the tire swing and yard, we played a game of wiffle ball every night. The community of homes is quiet and perfect for bike riding.
I hesitate to add such a great review for fear we will not be able to secure a reservation next year! Jennifer"

"As our family gets older and more numerous, we've been trying to think of a place we could get together with our married kids. This proved to be the ideal spot. A large, roomy farmhouse with plenty of places to spread out and relax. The house is older, but kept very clean and is stocked with everything a family needs: linens, dishes, utensils, grill, excellent stove, refrigerator, air conditioner, laundry facilities, all make for a hassle free stay. You can sense the love and hard work that built the foundation for the current owner who lived here when he was a child. Located on a large working farm with lots of peace and quiet was an added bonus for us. Russ and Fran are wonderful to work with - warm, welcoming, helpful, hard-working, honest and good conversationalists. Our grown-up family all thoroughly enjoyed our time at this property. Being close to the amenities of Lake Chautauqua, Mayville, Lake Erie etc made it all the more attractive as a place to stay. We are seriously considering a return in the future."

"Cottage is on the water, clean, neat and attractive with all essentials except linens. We thoroughly enjoyed the lake celebration of the 4th of July. The birds were super fun to watch and photograph. I was able to fish to my heart's content. Even the rain and fog of one day was fascinating. The neighbors are very nice and friendly. The area is peaceful and quiet. The owner very helpful and pleasant. We enjoyed the Redline Diner (great hot dogs and very reminiscent of the 50s) and Andriaccios ( great antipasto salad and pizza!). A wonderful place to recharge one's soul! Hope we can go back next year."
