  • Magical Late Summer Family Vacation

"We came to Lakeview cottage in mid-August just before the start of school, with our eight children ages 2 through 19. It was an incredible week! The region is just absolutely gorgeous. The kids loved the cove and rocky beach, and found both calm days and rough surf days equally entertaining for different reasons. In calm weather they waded to Ripley Beach, which has a larger stretch of sand. We cooked over the fire pit most nights, watching the sunset over the lake and then looking for the Perseid meteor showers from the Meadow. Carole took my wife and I on a wine tour--the local wines have the most fragrant bouquets we've experienced! Absolutely enchanting. Day trips to Niagara Falls, Lake Ontario, Dunkirk Lighthouse, or Lake Erie State Park are doable from the location. We'll never forget it!"

  • Ski Trip 2014

"Our group has been going to Ellicotville since 1997. We use VRBO to find places to stay. We had 13 people this year and this Chalet was wonderful. Convenient access to Holimont, the hot tub, the kitchen, etc...everything was excellent! We will rent this Chalet again!"

  • Expectations Exceded!

"If you are looking for a clean, comfortable, picturesque location to spend quality time with family or friends, this is it. The Chalet and surrounding property is even more beautiful than described. Its obvious that the owner takes pride in it. Chris and Laura were also very helpful and easy to work with when setting up our stay. Nearby activities include Midway Park, Panama Rocks, Peak n' Peak and for a quieter day, a leisurely walk around the beautiful grounds of nearby Chautauqua Institute. Definitely worth the five star rating."

  • Total Relaxation!

"We enjoyed a wonderful 3 night stay in this adorable cabin; it was so relaxing and had all of the comforts of home. The view is amazing and the whole area is simply beautiful. Although we never did have a chance to meet him, the owner kept in touch and was very accomodating. We will definitely be back!"

Cuba Lake Travel Tips

Cuba Lake Vacation Rentals: On the Shores of Greatness

In a tiny corner of Allegheny County, within the western borders of New York, waits Cuba. This unassuming village is often overlooked by passing travelers. They dismiss its past and its future, but it contains one of the man-made wonders of the state and a beauty that is without equal. Families wishing to retreat from obligations will find much to revel in. Spectacular scenery and a charming atmosphere will thrill. Create an experience that will always be remembered with Cuba Lake vacation rentals.

Cuba Lake Resorts: Visit History

It was once the largest reservoir in the world. It was once a marvel of engineering. Now, of course, times have changed but Cuba Lake still stands proud. Since its construction in 1858, it has been the constant source of water and fascination for the town. You will quickly see why as you spend your days exploring the boundaries, indulging in swimming, fishing, and skiing. Charter a cruise and explore the waves. The views will enchant, especially when enjoyed from Chautauqua Allegheny cabins. But, when you crave local flavor, travel into town to visit the famed Cuba Cheese Museum, which reveals the quirky heritage of dairy products. The Palmer Opera House (restored to its former glory) will also impress. The Cuba Historical Society will offer insight and artifacts. None will be able to resist Empire State Farms; with its 102 acres and terracotta style. And, when all of this has been explored, return to the ease of Cuba Lake Resorts.

Chautauqua Allegheny Cabins: Relaxation is Found

Cuba may be a small town but its offerings are many. Your family will find a rich culture to discover (and a lake that is ideal for any hour). There is much to enjoy. And, with Cuba Lake vacation rentals, you can end each day as perfectly as you begin them: in comfort and privacy.
