"My family and I stayed at this adorable cottage this past week for our summer vacation. Our 3 year old daughter enjoyed jumping off the dock for swimming. My Husband enjoyed fishing off the dock as well as keeping our boat there with the convenience of jumping in and going for a ride. The cottage felt like the perfect little lake house with all the comfort and amenities of home. So many windows to let in the fresh breeze from the lake and air conditioning for warmer nights. The cottage is very clean and well kept by the Owners, who are so nice to deal with. There is a nice playground in short walking distance that we visited almost everyday. A little store, ice cream and restaurants in walking distance as well. Not to mention the amazing cookie shop across the street. Yum. My favorite part was the most beautiful sunset right from the dock. We enjoyed it every night. Overall, our stay was lovely and we will return someday for sure."

Last minute summer vacation & birthday celebration
"Our stay at the Overlook Cabin was highly enjoyable and relaxing! Mike was very accommodating and easy to work with for renting this property. The cabin is set back from the road surrounded by a large grassy yard and then woods, secluding it from neighbors. The cabin was clean upon arrival and the bedrooms were spacious. The location of the cabin is nice especially since you could visit all of the major wineries on the Keuka Lake wine trail in one day. When we went, we got a late start (left around 1 p.m.) but still were able to visit almost all of the wineries on the map. The road is somewhat quiet and allowed for some fun morning jogs. Also, the cabin is only about a 10-15 minute drive to the village of Penn Yan where there is a Rite Aid, Tops supermarket, Aldis, and Walgreens. The hot tub and fire pit were both nice for spending time during the cool evenings. The side yard was particularly large and we used it to play football, KanJam, and bocce ball. Although not lake front, nor with direct lake access, you can see Keuka Lake from the front porch. Also, Keuka State Park is less than a 10 minute drive away and has swimming. We went there for a few hours on a Friday and paid $7 for parking one car. There was a playground for children, outdoor grills, and swimming with lifeguards complete with a dock you can jump/dive off with a depth of at least 10 feet. We had a great time and would definitely consider renting this property again in the future."

"Our group came to stay at Hayes' Hideaway for Canadian Thanksgiving weekend and had such a blast that it was really hard to leave come Monday morning. Zulma and Shaun really went above and beyond to prepare the property for our arrival - we appreciated the fresh flowers and the cookies (!!!), not to mention the coffee and the variety of pots and pans available to be used for cooking. The property itself is beautiful - there are ample rooms for everyone to gather and the bedrooms are also very comfortable. Bonus points are given for the kayaks, life jackets, and the outdoor seating areas outside. Thank you for accommodating us, Zulma & Shaun! Cheers!"
