  • Glorious extended family get away - fun for all ages!

"We spent a terrific week at La Casa Pura Vida and enjoyed relaxing meals on the upper deck. Everything was as promised and even better! The kitchen was well equipped and we never ran out of gas for the outdoor grill. The game room was a pleasure for all of the kids (ages 10, 12, 21, 41, 47, 51, and 81). We had plenty of room and the bathrooms were luxurious. The best shower water pressure we've ever experienced in a rental. It was close to a busy road but we didn't hear much traffic because all of the bedrooms were on the lake-side of the house. It was terrific to have the restaurant next door -- the ladies escaped for a "Girls night out." The owners were attentive but not overbearing and the lake views are breath-taking."

  • worth all the stars

"was not sure when I saw all the 5 star ratings how real the reviews were. Took a chance and drove out to look at it and it appeared as advertised. Decided to rent and was glad we did. Weather was very nice for our stay and we really enjoyed the cabin and the area. Naples, Grimes Glen and the Garrett Chapel were all very pleasant to visit and added to the enjoyable stay. Stairs may be a problem for some but look upon them as good exercise and you will be OK. Because it is on a dead end road traffic was very minimal and helped with our nightly walks. Would go back again and would recommend as a rental."

  • Ski getaway

"Our family of 6 had a wonderful time at the house. Our three girls are between the ages of 19 and 29 (with one spouse) and can be hard to please but they all loved the house and want to go back again next year for another ski weekend. The location is great, not far from Bristol Mountain Ski Hill. The kitchen had a great set up so we could prepare food, enjoy a glass of wine and chat. The front enclosed portion of the porch was such a nice, bright room that we enjoyed quite a bit. The view of the valley and mountain was so peaceful. The first night we got there, we saw the moon rise over the mountain. It isn't heated, but we just took blankets out there and enjoyed the views. The winery is just down the road and the tasting room is open until 5 pm. There were wine tasting passes at the house which we used and enjoyed. One of the winemakers gave us a private tour of several buildings. Having wifi was perfect for the girls but they didn't spend much time watching tv or on the internet. We played some family games and it was a fun weekend for all of us!"

  • Great rental

"I recently rented this property for a week. The views were gorgeous, the owner beyond helpful and the quality of the condo and furnishings everything you could ask for. It is centrally located to the Canadaigua area and very convenient. I couldn't recommend this property more highly."
