  • Great cottage!

"My boyfriend and I were looking for a place to stay on our way home to Rochester, NY from NYC. I came across this cottage and contacted Nancy. She responded immediately and was so informative and helpful. The stone cottage was cozy and romantic and had all the amenities we needed. It's close to waterfalls, wineries and great restaurants. Nancy recommended the Ithaca farmers market for breakfast on our way home and it did not disappoint! The fireplace, jacuzzi tub and temurpedic mattress were incredible! I really can't say enough about the accommodations and Nancy. I hope we have the opportunity to return!"

  • 2nd time and just as wonderful

"We very much enjoyed our 2nd stay "At The Corner" to attend our daughter's graduation from Ithaca College. The house was everything we expected and more; with the addition of the 5th bedroom on the first floor. The house is very comfortable, clean and full of interresting furniture and decorative pieces. The beds were comfortable, rooms spacious and quiet and the bathrooms were well supplied with big thristy towels. This rental property is very accurately represented on the VRBO site, its location is quiet and peaceful but easily accessible to all the area has to offer. I would highly recommend this property and would look to stay here once again should the need arise."

  • Nice vacation spot for two small families

"We had a great time staying at this house by Taughannock State Park. All the other comments on here are correct, but I wanted to add a few things that I would have liked to have known prior to staying here. 1. The house is very close to the road. The main photo on the site here is taken right from the edge of the driveway and Route 89. For some reason I was expecting this to be a quiet spot, set back from the road, but if you are there in the summer, prepare for traffic noise, trucks, motorcycles, etc. It was loud. Also, despite only being 4/10 of a mile from the State Park, due to the speed of the traffic and shoulder width, walking there seems a bit foolhardy. 2. At least half of the windows downstairs don't open either due to them being built that way, or simply being broken. It wasn't possible to get a cross breeze, so it's a bit warm in the house. It would have been nice to have a few more fans available. There are three "vornado-style" plus a very small desk fan. Besides that, it's very well equipped, the beds are VERY comfortable and it is a great location for getting to Ithaca/Taughannock, etc. While I'm not sure we'd stay here again, it is definitely worth a look. The owners were great, and even turned us on to some Chanterelles in the backyard!"
