  • Gorgeous grounds

"We couldn't have been happier with our stay at Judy's guest house! The house was just as described, the gardens beautiful and serene, a wonderful retreat from our busy graduation days! Judy was very helpful right from the start and answered my emails promptly. She had a great restaurant recommendation as well, putting the icing on the cake. All in all a wonderful experience for this very special occasion (Cornell graduation)... would highly recommend... thanks Judy! :)"

  • Charming comfort

"We had a small family reunion at the historic Ellis Hollow Church. The accommodations were as described, clean, well-maintained, and met our needs nicely. The kitchen was very functional and allowed us to prepare our communal meals as well as good for grazing for breakfasts and lunches. We liked that they have bins for recycling. There was plenty of parking for the cars. We spent a good deal of time sitting in the main area, playing games and music, and telling family stories. Because of it's history, it felt right to reminisce there. You can have a pleasant walk on the country roads near the church, but use caution with traffic at certain times of day. There's a nice yard in front if you're there during warmer weather. It's only 5-10 minutes to East Hill Plaza which has a nice grocery store and 10-15 minutes to downtown Ithaca and the many surrounding parks and wineries. It's also not far from Dryden if you go over the hill. We spoke with Maureen and Linda before arrival. Both were very pleasant and helpful with the reservations and information for our planning. I have and will continue to recommend this rental to friends and family."

  • Wonderful place!

"Our group of family and friends couldn't have asked for a better place to gather. The cabins had plenty of space and were well equipped and comfortable. We had loads of things to do right on the property and spent much of our time on the dock, fishing, kayaking, swimming, and reading. Steve is a fine host and makes sure his guests are happy. And happy we were!"

  • Excellent Country Getaway!

"My friends and I rented this house for an extended weekend, and could not have been happier with the accomodations and location of this rustic yet charming getaway. The farmhouse itself is old, but very comfortable and spacious, accomodating 6 of us easily. We took many of our meals at the house using both the outdoor barbeque and the indoor stove. Everything worked as expected, and the kitchen was fully stocked with everything you could possibly want for cooking and dining. There is a working fireplace in the living room which we took advantage of during our stay, and there is a firepit on the front lawn which we put to use one night under the stars. There is even a working telescope in the living room which we brought outside to view the craters on the moon. The house itself is located less than a 10 minute drive from lake Cayuga, and about 20 minutes from the city of Ithaca. If you are familiar with Ithaca and its surrounding landscape and feautures, then you already know how beautiful the area is. The property the farm is on is no exception. We found many winding trails in the rear of the property which eventually led down to Salmon Creek where we had an amazing afternoon adventure enjoying the sights and sounds of the natural environment. As noted in the desciption, this rental does not offer the distractions of more modern accomodations such as TV reception or Internet access (unless you have a smartphone, and yes, coverage is good). However, these conveniences were not missed in the least since there was plenty to do and see during our stay."
