  • Excellent stay

"What a wonderful stay at this house on Cayuga Lake. The house and view were just perfect. It was so nice to have a private house right on the lake and with everything included. The house is very up to date and clean which made it even better. The pictures are one thing but seeing it in person is so much better. I give it A+++++++. Also the owners were a pleasure to deal with and would recommend this house to anyone."

  • The Perfect Venue for our Bachellorette Weekend

"Barry's home and property are immaculate!!! The pictures of the interior do not do the house justice! Beautiful brand new kitchen, HUGE dining room table which seats 12+, spacious sitting rooms, great amount of private bedroom space with clean linens, huge outdoor eating area and seperate outdoor lounging area by the in-ground pool, too many awesome features to list! Our group of 12 ladies had all the space, privacy and ammenities we needed! Knowing Barry was always a phone call away gave us peace of mind! She helped us find a cab company, had a book of local suggestions and was uber sweet when we met her to collect the payment. Our group will definitely be visiting Barry's Baldwin House again and again! Thank you Barry, your location made Katie's Bachelorette unforgettable!! See you soon! Looking for an amazing day trip super close by to the Baldwin House? We had a BLAST with Schools Out Charters' Wine Tour!!! http://fingerlakeswinecruises.com/ Ask for Capt. Scott and Capt. Mike! They treated us like royalty!"

  • Excellent Country Getaway!

"My friends and I rented this house for an extended weekend, and could not have been happier with the accomodations and location of this rustic yet charming getaway. The farmhouse itself is old, but very comfortable and spacious, accomodating 6 of us easily. We took many of our meals at the house using both the outdoor barbeque and the indoor stove. Everything worked as expected, and the kitchen was fully stocked with everything you could possibly want for cooking and dining. There is a working fireplace in the living room which we took advantage of during our stay, and there is a firepit on the front lawn which we put to use one night under the stars. There is even a working telescope in the living room which we brought outside to view the craters on the moon. The house itself is located less than a 10 minute drive from lake Cayuga, and about 20 minutes from the city of Ithaca. If you are familiar with Ithaca and its surrounding landscape and feautures, then you already know how beautiful the area is. The property the farm is on is no exception. We found many winding trails in the rear of the property which eventually led down to Salmon Creek where we had an amazing afternoon adventure enjoying the sights and sounds of the natural environment. As noted in the desciption, this rental does not offer the distractions of more modern accomodations such as TV reception or Internet access (unless you have a smartphone, and yes, coverage is good). However, these conveniences were not missed in the least since there was plenty to do and see during our stay."

  • Nice vacation spot for two small families

"We had a great time staying at this house by Taughannock State Park. All the other comments on here are correct, but I wanted to add a few things that I would have liked to have known prior to staying here. 1. The house is very close to the road. The main photo on the site here is taken right from the edge of the driveway and Route 89. For some reason I was expecting this to be a quiet spot, set back from the road, but if you are there in the summer, prepare for traffic noise, trucks, motorcycles, etc. It was loud. Also, despite only being 4/10 of a mile from the State Park, due to the speed of the traffic and shoulder width, walking there seems a bit foolhardy. 2. At least half of the windows downstairs don't open either due to them being built that way, or simply being broken. It wasn't possible to get a cross breeze, so it's a bit warm in the house. It would have been nice to have a few more fans available. There are three "vornado-style" plus a very small desk fan. Besides that, it's very well equipped, the beds are VERY comfortable and it is a great location for getting to Ithaca/Taughannock, etc. While I'm not sure we'd stay here again, it is definitely worth a look. The owners were great, and even turned us on to some Chanterelles in the backyard!"

Ithaca Travel Tips

Ithaca is Gorges! Spend Your Next Vacation in One of the Idyllic Ithaca Vacation Rentals

You'll find that people from Ithaca have a great deal of pride regarding their town. Many of them wear the classic "Ithaca is Gorges" t-shirt to show off that pride. Surrounded by lakes and mountains and with streams running right through town, it is true that Ithaca is gorgeous. For those who can't live in Ithaca year round, spending time in one of the available Ithaca vacation rentals is a great way to enjoy the city and the region on a part-time basis.

Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall

One of the great thing about Ithaca vacation rentals is that they can be enjoyed at any time of the year. Summers are luscious. The foliage in the fall sets the mountains ablaze with color. Winter is a wonderland. And spring is reawakening. Whether staying in one of the Ithaca cottages or one of the Cayuga Lake houses, every season in Ithaca is magical in its own way.

Save Like a King

Ithaca vacation rentals will give you the ability to live like a king while saving on the overall cost of your vacation. Ithaca cottages and Cayuga Lake houses offer amenities like fully equipped kitchens, two to three bathrooms, and private laundry facilities, that are only found in the fanciest of hotel suites. The best part is, the amenities that are found in Ithaca vacation rentals come at a fraction of the price in comparison to what they would cost at a hotel.

Whether you are looking for a getaway by yourself, an intimate weekend with your special someone, or plan to bring along the entire royal army, there are Ithaca vacation rentals that will meet your needs. Be sure to check out the Cayuga Lake houses as well as the Ithaca cottages.
