  • AMAZING!

"I recently stayed at this property for 4 nights with my girlfriend. We were trilled with this cottage. It is perfectly nestled in the woods, right on the lake, atop a bluff. This provide great privacy and amazing views for total relaxation. Also, the owners are great people and really easy to work with. They were very helpful and timely with all inquires. I would highly recommend this place to anyone!"

  • Perfect House rental!

"Just can't say enough about how great this place was for my husband and myself and our dog. Very comfortable bed and furniture-great layout in kitchen and best stocked kitchen I've ever seen in all our yrs of renting on VRBO. Fall colors were gorgeous and it was perfect location for us to go exploring Ithaca, and surrounding area where I grew up. Wine tasting on Cayuga and Seneca lake was lots of fun and dog friendly. At the end of the day great to relax with a glass of wine on the patio and watch the sun go down. Oh, and owner made special accommodation for my limited mobility!"

  • Nice vacation spot for two small families

"We had a great time staying at this house by Taughannock State Park. All the other comments on here are correct, but I wanted to add a few things that I would have liked to have known prior to staying here. 1. The house is very close to the road. The main photo on the site here is taken right from the edge of the driveway and Route 89. For some reason I was expecting this to be a quiet spot, set back from the road, but if you are there in the summer, prepare for traffic noise, trucks, motorcycles, etc. It was loud. Also, despite only being 4/10 of a mile from the State Park, due to the speed of the traffic and shoulder width, walking there seems a bit foolhardy. 2. At least half of the windows downstairs don't open either due to them being built that way, or simply being broken. It wasn't possible to get a cross breeze, so it's a bit warm in the house. It would have been nice to have a few more fans available. There are three "vornado-style" plus a very small desk fan. Besides that, it's very well equipped, the beds are VERY comfortable and it is a great location for getting to Ithaca/Taughannock, etc. While I'm not sure we'd stay here again, it is definitely worth a look. The owners were great, and even turned us on to some Chanterelles in the backyard!"

  • Ithaca visit

"Lovely little home right on Cayuga Lake...west facing for nice sunsets, everything in the home worked fine, Chuck n Laura very available for question response. Lots of pluses: Ride your bike to Stewart Park, Boatyard Grill Minutes from downtown Ithaca Hot tub n fireplace New flat screen tv Quiet location Didn't get to it but could kayak to Ithaca Farmers Market :) 8 miles north to some seriously sweet single track mountain biking at Hammond Hill State Park I highly recommend this home."
