  • Awesome as always!

"We just love visiting the Finger Lakes and this little home away from home suits us to a "T"! Jim and Joanne are excellent to rent from and are always there if you need them and yet they give you the space and privacy you desire. They provide such nice welcoming touches, too. From fresh-caught lake trout, to a bowl of fresh fruit, to dropping off some sweet corn (and always have s'mores fixin's). It's so nice to wake up in the morning, open up the window and there is the lake. There's a reason we've been here 4 times already and are looking forward to returning next month. Very happy with our latest week-long stay! :)"

  • Perfect!

"Judy allowed me to celebrate my 26th Birthday at her adorable cottage and it worked out wonderfully! I couldn't of asked for a better location to spend time with Family and Friends. She was very accommodative and helpful and I will be contacting her again in the future :)"

  • Nice vacation spot for two small families

"We had a great time staying at this house by Taughannock State Park. All the other comments on here are correct, but I wanted to add a few things that I would have liked to have known prior to staying here. 1. The house is very close to the road. The main photo on the site here is taken right from the edge of the driveway and Route 89. For some reason I was expecting this to be a quiet spot, set back from the road, but if you are there in the summer, prepare for traffic noise, trucks, motorcycles, etc. It was loud. Also, despite only being 4/10 of a mile from the State Park, due to the speed of the traffic and shoulder width, walking there seems a bit foolhardy. 2. At least half of the windows downstairs don't open either due to them being built that way, or simply being broken. It wasn't possible to get a cross breeze, so it's a bit warm in the house. It would have been nice to have a few more fans available. There are three "vornado-style" plus a very small desk fan. Besides that, it's very well equipped, the beds are VERY comfortable and it is a great location for getting to Ithaca/Taughannock, etc. While I'm not sure we'd stay here again, it is definitely worth a look. The owners were great, and even turned us on to some Chanterelles in the backyard!"
