  • Perfect House rental!

"Just can't say enough about how great this place was for my husband and myself and our dog. Very comfortable bed and furniture-great layout in kitchen and best stocked kitchen I've ever seen in all our yrs of renting on VRBO. Fall colors were gorgeous and it was perfect location for us to go exploring Ithaca, and surrounding area where I grew up. Wine tasting on Cayuga and Seneca lake was lots of fun and dog friendly. At the end of the day great to relax with a glass of wine on the patio and watch the sun go down. Oh, and owner made special accommodation for my limited mobility!"

  • Perfect peaceful lake house

"We rented the Windgarth House to attend Ithaca College graduation with family from three states. It was perfect for us. NO steep stairs for grandparents to be concerned about to access the dock. Linens and towels were provided (and were plentiful) and the nice Weber grill worked out great for our BBQ with our son's friends and their families the day before graduation. Everyone that was staying in town in a hotel was jealous of our find! We enjoyed the wineries nearby (and the Myers Distillery just up the street) and it was close enough to Ithaca so getting to graduation on time wasn't difficult. We explored the nearby cemetary on a long walk and walks in both directions from the house proved to be full of nature and beautiful views. We would certainly return to try Windgarth in another season. So nice not to have a TV!! We played board games and card games and we fished and canoed. Parking was fine and having two fridges was a great convenience. We didn't use them, but the washer and dryer would be a big help for families traveling with kids."

  • Gorgeous place one issue

"The place is very nice.. A lovely layout and comfortable furniture and beautiful finishings. My family loved the views and the gorgeous modern appliances and fireplaces. It's a 15 minute drive to Cornell. My husband is very allergic to pets and while there are no pets in the house he had an allergic reaction so we believe that perhaps the place has a pet friendly policy? Just a heads up for people with bad allergies to pets."

  • A Beautiful, Spacious Home

"I rented the Baldwin Home with my girlfriends and our families for a weekend getaway/reunion, and we had an amazing time. The property was lovingly cared for, well appointed both inside and out, comfortable and spacious. Our only regret was that it was a little too chilly to use the pool -- we hope to make a return trip in the warmer months!"
