"My family and I had a great experience at the mockingbird cottage! We went to New York for a wedding in Ithaca. We were so close to everything. The cottage was cozy, peaceful and had beautiful landscaping which made it nice to relax outback on the deck! The cottage made us feel like at home. It's provided with plenty of blankets, pillows, towels etc. that we didn't have to worry about traveling with all the extra stuff, which was very nice! If you want to experience the beautiful NY mountains and see the amazing water falls, the mockingbird cottage is a great place to stay!"

"My girlfriend and I stayed at Tom and Christine's place for a week. It's a reasonably convenient place to stay for a Finger Lakes adventure. We spent our time touring wineries on other lakes and going back and forth between Ithaca. Ithaca, as well as the areas we visited for wineries, were about an hours drive. I'm sure there are closer wineries as well, but the big clusters are on other lakes.
The place itself is 4 small bedrooms. It's cozy and had everything we needed to cook, enjoy the lake front, etc. We particularly liked the bonfire pit being directly in front of the water, great for roasting marshmallows, bundled up, looking as the waves roll in and out.
The only thing that gave me pause with the reservation was that electronic payments weren't setup. I was really uncomfortable sending a check for the rental amount and the security deposit, but took a leap and did so. Received a check back for the security deposit, so my worries were allayed, but still, shouldn't be a big issue to setup safer payments through this site or airbnb.
That said, great hosts, cozy place, lots of bedrooms, and right on the lake. Hard to beat it for the off-season price :)"

"My husband and I stayed for 2 nights in the camper and it was great! Very relaxing, lake is just across the small private road, and Jim & Joanne were super nice. We had arranged to do a winery boat tour with Jim and it was great! Visited 3 wineries and it was nice being out in the boat. We had also rented the kayaks and spent a great morning just kayaking around the lake a bit. Camper has everything you need -- pots & pans, plates, glasses, etc. Definitely a good idea to bring all your food with you, the private road is a 1-lane, 10 MPH road so it's a bit slow going on that road. Sitting outside at night by the fire pit is super relaxing -- and since we live in a city and don't get to see stars often, we really enjoyed being able to see so many stars! Beautiful. We also saw 2 great sunsets, both nights we were there. Would definitely recommend if you are looking for a nice, chill, relaxing way to spend a little time."

"We had 14 adult men looking to have a weekend of relaxing and riding around on a boat we rented for the weekend. This house was perfect. There was plenty of room to sleep but it was all the other parts that were great. The Lake Frontage is the best among all of the houses around it. We played cornhole and Kan-Jam right by the water, which was really cool. There are two docks to tie off your boat too. In regards to the house, it is HUGE! So much space to spread out. The kitchen/Dining Room is very large and has all that you could need and more. The living room has a big screen for watching TV, which we all crowded into to watch the Horse race. We all fit comfortably. But the best part of this house is the screened in porch. It is really large with several seating areas, places to eat and even a few rocking chairs. The view is incredible and we spent a substantial amount of time sitting right there. I highly recommend you jump on this rental for your next family gathering or get together with your friends. It was completely worth it."
