"We have a good time. Lots of fishing and visits to The Crooked Lake Ice Cream Parlor, Bully Hill for peanut butter pie, several wineries, and every antique shop we could find. The cottage was just the right size for our family of four and our dog. The dog loved the porch and spent hours napping on it. The view was fantastic whether looking out the living room picture window or from the porch. Thank you for sharing your cottage and allowing it to be pet friendly."

Last minute summer vacation & birthday celebration
"Our stay at the Overlook Cabin was highly enjoyable and relaxing! Mike was very accommodating and easy to work with for renting this property. The cabin is set back from the road surrounded by a large grassy yard and then woods, secluding it from neighbors. The cabin was clean upon arrival and the bedrooms were spacious. The location of the cabin is nice especially since you could visit all of the major wineries on the Keuka Lake wine trail in one day. When we went, we got a late start (left around 1 p.m.) but still were able to visit almost all of the wineries on the map. The road is somewhat quiet and allowed for some fun morning jogs. Also, the cabin is only about a 10-15 minute drive to the village of Penn Yan where there is a Rite Aid, Tops supermarket, Aldis, and Walgreens. The hot tub and fire pit were both nice for spending time during the cool evenings. The side yard was particularly large and we used it to play football, KanJam, and bocce ball. Although not lake front, nor with direct lake access, you can see Keuka Lake from the front porch. Also, Keuka State Park is less than a 10 minute drive away and has swimming. We went there for a few hours on a Friday and paid $7 for parking one car. There was a playground for children, outdoor grills, and swimming with lifeguards complete with a dock you can jump/dive off with a depth of at least 10 feet. We had a great time and would definitely consider renting this property again in the future."

"Really nice house with great decks and awesome views. Lots of space for the large group we had. There was 1 shower that was unusable which was a bit inconvenient with 21 women. Other than that it worked wonderfully well for our reunion weekend!"

"Our family spent Easter weekend at this awesome home! My husband & I with our four children, my parents, and my sister were all very comfortable & were blown away by the vintage charm of this home. Wide plank floors, beautiful vintage buffets & armoires greeted us, - lovely decor all around...yet not at all stuffy & incredibly family friendly. I wanted to pick this house up & take it with me.
The house was incredibly clean. When we arrived everything was fresh & inviting. And, everything you can need is provided including towels & sheets...which is plus - less stuff to pack! In addition the kitchen is well stocked with all the equipment you could possibly need for cooking in and there were plenty of paper supplies such as toilet paper & paper towels as well.
There is a knock-out view of the lake! There's an incredible front porch with plenty of porch seating. It was pretty cold the weekend we were there. (The lake was still mostly frozen and we woke up to snow on Easter Sunday!) So, we didn't get to utilize the porch nearly as much as we would have liked. But, in warmer weather, we're sure you would spend a lot of time there.
The bedrooms are nice and large. And, the downstairs also has plenty of space to spread out in. The only downside is that there is limited 'lounge around' seating. It would have been nice to have another couch or so. But, we made up for it in spending a lot of time at either the dining room or kitchen tables playing cards & other games.
We've stayed many places in the years that we've been visiting the Fingerlakes. And, this is definitely one of our favorites. And, the off season rate was just fantastic. We'll be back for sure!"
