  • Great family weekend away

"I grew up on Keuka Lake and over the last few years have made a point to spend an extended weekend with my family on this Lake. Of the 5 Major Finger Lakes, this is certainly the most family/child safe, and cleanest of them all. The process was easy to book and the owners were extremely hospitable. We had the fortune to meet them and they were very kind throughout our stay. With regard to the cottage itself, all I will say is the kids still have not stopped talking about this particular stay on the lake. There was more than enough space for a family of five, it was well cared for, and offered lots of activities for everyone. The cottage comes equipped with wi-fi, Kayaks, a canoe, and rowboat. On the beach was a fire pit, picnic tables, deck chairs, dock, and gas grill as well as complete use of water shoes and life jackets. My daughters were proud of themselves for kayaking for the first time, and my older son, a good family friend and myself made the trek across the lake and back in the kayaks. For anyone not interested in water sports, within a few miles are several locally owned wineries available for tours and tastings. I believe we have finally found the place we will be using for all future trips to Keuka Lake. I can't recommend this place enough!"

  • Too Much Fun

"We recently spent a 3-day weekend here. It is our 2nd stay at this cottage. Once again we had a wonderful time. The layout of the cottage is perfect for 3 couples and the 3 bathrooms make it great for 6 adults to get ready and out the door at the same time. We love the privacy of the beach area. The weather was great for late September so we had the opportunity to watch 3 beautiful sunsets as we sat by a campfire down by the water. The deck right outside the dining area gets just the right amount of sunshine so we could enjoy coffee (and a mimosas or two) as we got a relaxing start to our days. The house is stocked with anything you could ever want or need for cooking, grilling, baking or drinking! The beds and pillows were very comfortable. The cottage is close to several wineries and breweries on Keuka Lake as well as being only a short distance from many of the Seneca Lake wineries and breweries. The owner is easy to work. We never saw the neighbor and one side and the one on the other side was very friendly and helpful."

  • A wonderful place for a family vacation!!

"Our family stayed here for a week long vacation in late June. You could not have asked for a more beautiful place!!--it has a huge lawn with lots of outdoor games, lots of outdoor seating of all types. It makes it easy to feel relaxed with such a large, wide open and beautiful yard space. There is a very nice beach with large canopy and lots of chairs so you have the option to be in the sun or right next to the beach or under the canopy if you prefer shade or it rains. The house is beautifully furnished with lots of personal touches so that it doesn't feel at all like a rental. Beds are very comfortable! Our favorite thing was having evening meals and evening chats in the cozy seating area outdoors on the large front deck. It has a perfect view of the lake because the house sits up on a hill next to the lake. You will find everything you need in the kitchen in terms of dishes and utensils. Our kids (aged 11 and 14) enjoyed using the boats (boating shoes recommended), and we rented a speed boat (brand new, from a marina about 8 minutes drive from the house) one day for tubing. The water was the perfect temperature in a warm day! There are several restaurants on the water where you can stop and eat while boating (we had a great lunch at one). There are also lots and lots of great wineries on this lake. Rooster Hill winery is only 5 minutes walk from the house, and we went there several times. After searching, we found that Arbor Hill winery on Seneca lake (right next to Keuka) has several types of sparkling juices that our kids loved. If you are heading to the area, this is a lovely place to stay! You are about 30 minutes from Corning and 30 minutes from Watkins Glen (in the opposite direction), which are both worth visiting. Mary and her husband were super hosts and very warm and helpful (e.g., tips on restaurants, informational brochures on area activities, etc.), and the year round neighbors were also very friendly. We would come here every year if we could!"

  • Perfect affordable lake vacation

"This cottage was perfect for a relaxing fall vacation with my husband. The Finger Lakes are beautiful at that time of year, and you get the most stunning views being right on the lake. The house is clean, there's lots of room, and there are cute decorating touches all over. The appliances in the kitchen were like brand new, better than what we have at home!! The large upstairs tv room could use an update, but we spent most of our time downstairs facing the lake anyway so it doesn't really matter. It was nice to sit outside on the warmer days or in the covered porch on cooler days, and just enjoy the view and eat and drink and relax. We also loved going to all of the local wineries, there are so many to choose from - make sure you bring a couple of bottles back home with you. This was definitely a great vacation and it didn't break our budget."
