"Perfect! Our family and a couple of friends rented this vacation home for a week. The house is nicely decorated and well-equipped for your stay. We spent the mornings and evenings on the screened porch overlooking Seneca Lake and would recommend this VRBO for others looking for a relaxing vacation in the Finger Lakes of New York."

"My brother , my best friend and myself spent the most relaxing week at "Taste of Serenity" cottage. We found it perfectly equipped and cozy . We made use of the several kayaks , canoe and rowboat . Mike and Kathy are such accommodating hosts . They were a plethora of knowledge about the local area from the wineries to local night life to scenic destinations. I will be definitely returning with my wife for another "getaway"! I highly recommend this destination as the stress level is absolute zero!"

"Our family had a lovely stay in the Farmhouse and the cottage by the lake. There is plenty of lawn space for children to run and tumble while the grown-ups enjoy the large pleasant porch space. The house is definitely a home away from home and our family was comfortable in the large sitting rooms and the beautifully furnished bedrooms. The generous dining room and kitchen tables were focal points for long family visits and conversation, sharing memories, arguing politics, board games and coloring books and enjoying great food prepared from amazing local produce. The kitchen is perfect for collective meal preparation. The site is secluded so the sense of letting the world slip away and enjoying intimate time with the family is enhanced. Maureen and Michele worked with us on every detail including some great advice on activities in the area. We kayaked, swam and lingered by the lake's edge. The stairs going down to the lake make the walk very pleasant. We received the full refund of our security deposit on both properties within days of our return. All in all our stay in these picturesque surroundings was just perfect for our family of readers, hikers, game players, singing by the campfire guitar playin' great food lovin' -want-an-old-fashioned simple-retreat-from-our hectic-lives sort of folk. We give the Farmhouse and the Cottage an A+ for a family gathering."

"The description of this home and property is not exaggerated. It was very comfortable for 6 adults and an infant and could have accommodated more people easily. Each family had their own full bathroom, which made it nice. We had plenty of room to entertain local family members who visited us. The kids were especially thrilled with the hot tub, but the adults got their share of enjoyment out of it, too. Everything we needed was provided in this lovely home, but Watkins Glen was only 10 minutes away if we wanted anything. The new Grist Iron Brewery opened almost across the street on Route 414 and having that so close was a bonus. Of course wineries abound in the area, too. Guests should be aware that you do have to travel about 1/4 mile down a gravel road to get to the home, so vehicles with good ground clearance are the best to use while staying at the house. Regular vehicles can work ok as long as you go very slowly over the speed bump.
There was plenty of room both indoors and out with a huge private lot, deck and a porch. A boat launch was mentioned as an amenity, but you would need to get more info about that from the owner. We didn't find anything usable for that purpose, but we didn't have a boat, either.
The AC was very welcome since we were there during a hot weather week. Nights cooled down to comfortable temperatures, so breakfast on the porch was very pleasant. There were great lake views from one of the upstairs bedrooms and peek-a-boo views between the trees from the lower levels. However, the sunset views were spectacular.
The only downside was the extra fee we had to pay for cleaning. Not sure why that wasn't included in the price.
I would highly recommend this home for a wonderful Finger Lakes vacation."
