  • super comfortable and very convenient

"We (two of us) stayed two nights and were delighted with Sargent House. There is plenty of room for two people, with a good sized kitchen space and room to actually use the comfortable chairs in the main room/bedroom for reading and relaxing. The bed was comfortable and the kitchen had all the necessary accessories and everything in the apartment was clean and well-maintained. We used it as a base for doing several things in the southern Finger Lakes area so we didn't take advantage of lazing on the porch, but we certainly see the appeal. We really appreciated the convenience of good restaurants right down the street. The Bakery has fantastic coffee and baked goods and dinner at Union Block Bistro was excellent. Dinner at Luna Mezza was only so-so. It was also fun to look around the interesting shops and galleries in the center of town, again just a few steps from Sargent House. Communications with Judy were excellent, and she was very kindly flexible with our checkout because no one else was coming in the night we left. We highly recommend this place for a couple or a small family."

  • Five Stars in Every Respect !

"Our stay couldn’t have been better. The cottage is right on the lake front – a lovely lawn, beach and dock are right out the door. It's located in a beautiful park-like area, well-away from the highway, down a private road leading into a private association. Behind the cottage is a very large area of grass, a swing set, tennis courts, basketball court and plenty of protected space for kids to play. It provides a very private feel overall. The neighbors were very friendly and we never had a sense of anyone being too close. The great front porch added greatly to making the week a special treat. With large windows on three sides, it opens up the entire lake front experience. A long table for dining at one end and plenty of wicker chairs, sofa, and rockers, it provided plenty of room for folks to be alone with a book or gather to chat – or to simply sit and enjoy the view. On the couple times we had a bit of rain, it was especially nice to still sit and enjoy the outdoors. Behind the front porch is a large living room with two large leather sofas. With the beautiful porch we didn’t spend much time in the living room, but it did provide another space for anyone who wanted to have a bit of private space. The “beach deck,” the porch, the living room, and the lawn were separate areas where folks could be alone, gather in couples or small groups, and never feel that they were all crowded together. Behind the living room was a bathroom with a large shower – just fine. And then the kitchen. Wow! We’ve rented several VRBO houses, and we’ve never come across such a fully stocked and equipped kitchen. At least a double set of dishes plus many bowls and platters, glasses, cups, mugs, and wine glasses never had anyone short. Cutlery, every kitchen utensil, gadget and appliance and a new, very large fridge – and a second fridge in the garage. (No need to stuff supplies, buy ice for coolers, or constantly re-stock drinks.) Plenty of room in the large kitchen with table and room-wide counter for food prep.) A new washer and dryer was a great help for beach towels and a mid-week wash. Our two granddaughters commandeered the lovely sleeping porch. A large bedroom with a comfortable queen bed, another double and a back bedroom with two doubles all provided plenty of sleep space. The garage was a plus with plenty of room to store games, bikes, etc. The cottage exceeded our expectations in every respect. And thanks to the thoughtful owners who made our stay such a delight."

  • Cottage by Cornell

"The cottage was wonderfully comfortable and gave us a place to relax and enjoy my daughter for a week. When I asked if there was a roasting pan for thanksgiving dinner our hosts were kind enough to deliver one to us on our arrival. Perfect week."

  • location, location, location !

"11 men in one house! We had a great time fishing, golf, wineries, great restaurants nearby and relaxing times on the patio & hot tub. Grille came in handy for cook outs. T.V.s in all the rooms. An extremely clean house with all the amenities. Not a negative comment from any of our group. Management was extremely helpful and courteous, we would go back in a heartbeat. Simply a wonderful time."
