  • A Little bit of Heaven

"What an amazing vacation! On the drive home my son stated...."that was almost like heaven Mom". Our family so enjoyed the relaxation and ease of living on our own little island, away from the stress and craziness of life. My husband and our young teenage boys loved catching sunnies and bass off of the dock every day. They enjoyed exploring the Lake Ontario via Kayak and paddle boat while looking for sunk-in treasures. My husband and I loved the breathtaking sunsets on Lake Ontario. Even our dog seemed to come out of her shell while roaming the beaches and meeting the friendly neighbors. Thank you Martha for being so kind to our family. Your warm friendly personality made us feel more like family than tenants. Thank you Martha and Scott for sharing your home with us. Our boys still talk about the fun they had on the high dive slide - 10ft into the bay... we hope to return and enjoy another little bit of heaven."

  • Family Fun Week

"We lived the house, the common areas are large and open ,great for family gatherings. The furnishings are comfy, upscale and well maintained. The kitchen was stocked with everything you could need and a lot of staples like coffee filters and even coffee , sugar etc . The linens were very nice as well . Bedrooms were very nice. My husband and I stayed in the "get away suite " upstairs and loved having the extra privacy and space of our own living room and bathroom and kitchen etc . Loved it ! We had rented a pontoon boat from arnies marina and had great days out on the water . The steps leading down to the dock area are very stable and if nothing else we felt like we were getting a lil excersize every day ! I highly recommend this house as a vacation rental . I have scoured the websites looking for large beautiful homes in the area and this one is the nicest ."

  • Soooo quiet and relaxing!

"Myself, my boyfriend, and his daughter stayed at Quiet Waters in mid-July 2014 - what a wonderful stay! The cabin is updated and was very roomy for the 3 of us. The weather was beautiful, not too hot! So quiet, with the exception of the frogs and squirrels at play! We were only about 12 miles from Sodus Point where you can find a couple of great little eateries as well as a beachfront area. Helluva Good is not far and Webster and Rochester are just a 1/2 hour to 40 min away and we were not far from our hometowns so several friends and family were able to come see us and enjoy some great BBQ's on the deck! If you're looking to get away and just kick back and relax, Quiet Waters is the place! The Traister's were very easy to work with too .... good times, thank you so much for sharing your cottage with us!"

  • Great Vacation Cottage on the Sandy Beach!

"My family and I had a wonderful time at this cottage in Sodus Point. The cottage itself is very clean and tidy, very comfortable and has a beautiful large enclosed porch facing the big sandy back yard that leads to the lake. There is a large dinning room table and lots of comfortable seating on the porch. There is a back deck that is large and is always shaded in the hot afternoons. The cottage is mostly shaded so it does not get to hot and there are ceiling fans throughout to help keep it cool on hot days. The location of this cottage is perfect. It is within walking distance to town and to the lighthouse and public beach where there is a play ground for small children. There are also some nice routes for cycling or for runners as you head out of town along the lake. Sunsets are beautiful and campfires are fun on the beach. I would recommend water shoes for swimming as there are some rocks you have to walk over as you get into the water. The owner was very helpful answering my questions and took the time to ask me if our stay was satisfactory after we had left. It's fun for all ages, our ages ranged from 3 years old, a teenager, 20's, 40's and 60's. It was such a joy to have our family together in a place we all enjoyed being at. I would recommend this Beach Cottage to anyone looking for a relaxing family vacation."
