  • Soooo quiet and relaxing!

"Myself, my boyfriend, and his daughter stayed at Quiet Waters in mid-July 2014 - what a wonderful stay! The cabin is updated and was very roomy for the 3 of us. The weather was beautiful, not too hot! So quiet, with the exception of the frogs and squirrels at play! We were only about 12 miles from Sodus Point where you can find a couple of great little eateries as well as a beachfront area. Helluva Good is not far and Webster and Rochester are just a 1/2 hour to 40 min away and we were not far from our hometowns so several friends and family were able to come see us and enjoy some great BBQ's on the deck! If you're looking to get away and just kick back and relax, Quiet Waters is the place! The Traister's were very easy to work with too .... good times, thank you so much for sharing your cottage with us!"

  • Wedding Destination

"We were looking for a waterfront location in the area to host our intimate beachfront wedding, and decided to rent this property. I'm so glad we did. It ended up being the perfect choice. First, it is important to remember that this property is a cottage. The electricity didn't work on a couple walls, and the water stopped working for a few hours. But let me say this, Martha went above and beyond to help us out. You have to expect some issues when renting a cottage, it's how the owners respond to these issues that make or break your trip. We had to call Martha at 6:30am one morning (day of the wedding) because the water still working. And first of all, she answered her phone at that early hour and helped us every step of the way to get is fixed asap. She also brought over a beautiful wood table and chairs for our reception and had family and friends come help her polish and set it up late one night earlier in the week, in the dark, with smiles of their faces. She also had the beach and ceremony site raked beautifully for the occasion. Martha also made the cutest treasure hunt for our daughter, it was very thoughtful. We had both of our parents, two dogs, and another couple stay at this property, and another family stay at another one of their properties that was a short walking distance away and it worked out great. The cottage was large enough that everyone had their own privacy and the living spaces were big enough to accommodate everyone at meal times. We set up the ceremony where the hanging chairs were. We removed them and the swinging bench and got married right under the canopy, at sunset, with our family and friends sitting on beautiful blue adirondack chairs before us. The aisle was made with gorgeous beach rocks found right at the ceremony site. Thankfully the weather was absolutely perfect for mid-September, calm and warm, and the pictures looked like we got married on a sandy beach in the Caribbean. We set up the reception tables on the large deck with lights strung overhead and had a great late night dinner with the table and chairs Martha provided us with. In addition, my husband, myself and my daughter and our dog got to spend a few days at this location alone and it was breathtaking. Nothing beats sitting in the hot tub, with the wine that was graciously provided, looking out over the water, at night (baby monitor in hand) with a star filled sky. All in all, expect a cottage, a perfect location, and great hosts."

  • Thankful Renter

"Perfect location for utilizing all Sodus Point offers. Almost on the beach. A short walk to bay beach. Downtown restaurants and shops five minute walk! Playground and skatepark also a short walk! Quiet side street too! House itself is spacious, well equipped, clean and accommodates a large number of renters. Owners live in area and I found them to be very pleasant and accommodating . We hope to return in the future as our stay was all we had been promised and exactly as we had hoped it would be! An overall great experience!"

  • Next to loud bar makes for little sleep

"My family of four (two adults to children) stayed for a week over the memorial holiday to attend a family reunion. There are many pros of this house, which include: 1. Ability to house lots of guests 2. Location to two playgrounds, marina, boat harbor, and shops However, I gave it 4 stars because while it is in a very centralized location, it is opposite a loud bar that played LOUD 80's rock music until 1-2am every night. The music floated across the boat harbor and directly into the house. Even with ear plugs and white noise (fans), the walls reverberated with the music. We could not get to sleep all week before 1am. That said, the manager was very gracious and quick to rely to txts, questions, and needs. The place is stocked with kitchen supplies, but don't expect to find any spices or toiletries. Most everything is a bit shabby and worn. However, for the price it was reasonable."
