"Wow!!! What a beautiful, well maintained property.
The gardens are meditative - found myself restarting my yoga practice. Charles is an avid gardener and it shows. So many lovely spots to just " be ". The accommodations were perfect - spacious, comfortable, well supplied and immaculate. The location is ideal - short walk to Lake Ontario, the Lighthouse , Bay and restaurants. We loved staying at the Sodus Lotus. We walked, rode bikes, hiked gorgeous Chimney Bluffs (about 20min drive). You can cook your own meals or eat out. Book it!! You will not be disappointed."

"We decided that we wanted a weekend get-a-way, and within minutes we were booked!
Everything from booking, to the time Martha met us at the marina, went very smoothly.
We arrived on Friday afternoon, called Scott & he had Martha to us within MINUTES! She took us by pontoon to the cottage where there was wine and cheese (and a bubbling hot tub!) waiting for us- it was pure relaxation for the entire weekend.
Upon arrival Martha helped us get our things to the cottage, we grilled up some salmon (on the VERY clean grill), hopped in the hot tub and enjoyed the rest of our evening watching the sunset over Lake Ontario and drank some wine. (the hot tub is RIGHT on the water!!)
We realized that my husband forgot to pack the eggs and Martha graciously offered to go to the camp and get some for us.
The next day we watched the sun rise over the bay, took the motor boat to Sodus (to get some eggs), fished from the dock while drinking mimosas, took the paddle boat out for a spin, had a bon fire and then settled into the hot tub for another beautiful sunset!
The next morning while on the Lake Ontatrio beach, my husband made the comment that "wouldn't it be awesome to see a bald eagle fly over and grab a fish out of the lake"--literally 5 seconds later a bald eagle flew 20 ft over our heads out over the lake! God is good!
Although we chose to be completely isolated for relaxation, there are a few restaurants and pubs that you can get to by boat (during the light hours).
The cottage was very clean. We had everything that we needed: lots of towels, pots, pans, spices etc.
When we called to be picked up for our departure Martha told us that since no one else was renting the cottage for the next night she would let us stay one night for free--unfortunately we had to be back to work so we declined.
They were the most gracious hosts that we've ever dealt with! Good people!!!
We will DEFINITELY be back!!"

"This cottage is a hidden gem! It is indeed very quaint, with a country feel about it. It is more open and spacious than most cottages. Great price, great owners in Bill and Joanne, and a great setting."

"Located on a quiet side street, this is a perfect location for all Sodus Point offers. It’s just a few steps from Lake Ontario and only a short walk to bay beach. Downtown restaurants and shops were a five minute walk! The house is roomy, well-equipped, clean, and accommodates a large number of renters. The master bedroom is separated from the other bedrooms, which affords additional privacy. An overall great experience for our family of nine (including grandchildren)!
My sister is already considering renting the cottage for next summer! One caveat: this house is not handicapped accessible."
