"My Friends and I (8 total) rented this cottage to go fishing. Was Close to Maxwell Creek, and could accommodate all of us. This was our second trip here and won't be the last. The owner is very friendly and always got back to me quickly. Cottage is tucked away, so you don't have a lot of people running around, you get to relax."

"There is nothing like coming into Sodus Point with this cottage as the destination! My family and I have rented from Ellen for years. Each time we have stayed, we feel at home as a part of Ellen's family. Her hospitality is unmatched, with all the little touches of home that she provides. It means so much to be able to include the dog on our vacation (we have gone through 3 separate dogs over the years bringing them with us), and the beach is wide and inviting. The cottage is set up so comfortably. Staying there has given my family wonderful memories as they have grown up and begun to raise their own families."

"After many employment years in the hospitality industry, I can honestly say the guest satisfaction of my family was a "10"(out of 10). Owners Martha and Scott have a true Gem here. Being only 100 miles from our home town in Clarence, we were so amazed that this paradise could exist. Our two boys(15 and 8) had one of the best times on a vacation in recent memory. Fishing, camping, kayaking, motor boating, hot tub, Fishing, rock collecting and swimming have made this trip not one to forget. Our family of 4 really had an opportunity to re-connect. We didn't allow them any electronics while on the trip(the best thing we ever did) and we all focused on outdoor things. I caught a 16"(8 pound bass)-never cleaned a fish before in my life, but afterwards we cooked it and all agreed it was the best tasting fish we had ever had.(even more so than fresh sea bass that we pay $26.00 a pound for).
The propry is as advertised with no surprises. The only negative would be of the old mattresses (clean..but not comfortable) but it is camping and it certainly beat a sleeping bag with an air mattress. Scott and Martha thank you so much for a trip that we will remember for a long time. We are already thinking about a trip for next summer, but hoprfully longer than just the weekend we stayed."
