"Hi Guys! Just wanted to say thank you so much. We feel truly blessed to have been able to spend time at your amazing home. I am one of those people who walks into a hotel or rental and sees all the little things that are not attended to and totally appreciated not having to scrub the place down before we stayed. Your house is clean and comfortable and well thought out!! Know that u really made a difference in someone's lives. I know that sounds crazy but you all giving us a break on the rental price enabled us to have some real quality time with our kids in an awesome location which is something that is very hard to come by in our line of work. Thank you so much!! we'd love to put a review on home away but cannot find the listing anymore and don't know how to do that. If you could Sears in the right direction we'd appreciate it. • Never judge a book by its cover!

"1st off, the owners, Bill & Joanne were very accommodating, reviewed the property, covered all the bases, were available for anything you may need. The cabin itself doesn't really "stand out" from the road, kinda looks like any other "rustic cabin", but when you enter, it has been remodeled with very nice combination of rustic atmosphere with contemporary lighting. Also has an open floor plan for the kitchen, dining & living room. Two nice bedrooms with I think a queen in one and two twins in another. Going through the first set of sliding patio doors to the rear into the sun room with a small dining set there also, a very nice hide-a-bed sofa make a nice sleeping room. A good place for drinks at night as well as coffee in the morning. The dock front is in very good condition, we were able to use the boat lift to stow the boat, Not every time thought, but nice. The place was stocked with all the items you may ever need. Joanne told us if we forgot something to check with her to see if she has it. It didn't take us long to get into relaxation mode with the weather and view, nice, very nice. We had three kids for our trip, 14,11 & 7. They caught alot of sunfish/bluegills from the dock. We had a great stay at a great place. Price wise , going to be hard to beat for the quality! We will be back. They also have a "Beautiful" place on the water for rent, looks like a honeymoon suite, Joannes' interior decorating skills show with both places, but this one is a homerun by far, but that is another stay and review."

"We enjoyed our stay at the cottage very much. It was so much more than we had expected. Very peaceful and comfortable we made ourselves right at home. The home is kept very clean and tidy. With all the amenities you could need for a relaxing vacation. Will recommend to all our family and friends for their vacations!!"

  • Restful Getaway

"We desperately needed to get away for down time and the Sodus Lotus was a great choice! The apartment was clean and well maintained. Charles and Esther were gracious, helpful and very accommodating. We rested a lot and enjoyed a fire one night in their outside room. It was a lovely starry night and the late night talk by the fire was fun! We also enjoyed our hike at Chimney Bluff State Park experiencing the smells and crunch of autumn leaves. We bought crisp apples at a farm stand and enjoyed eating at the Alton Coffee Cup. We are grateful for the restful time away and hope to return."
