  • Fantastic Escape!

"We had a wonderful time at the lake house! It was clean, VERY spacious, with plenty of comfortable room for us all to sleep. The dock and balconies offered plenty of room to sit and enjoy the nice weather, the living room was huge and offered lots of sitting room and places to relax. We were all very relaxed, and defiantly did not want to leave!! We will be back next year!"

  • We love Twix

"This has been the best vacation property we have rented in the Finger Lakes. The first time we stayed here was in October 2013, we also rented Twix in September 2014 and we will be there again in September 2015. We stayed there with our friends and some family. Being there in October was gorgeous. The leaves were just turning color and the weather was perfect. There were just 9 of us and we had more than enough room. The water was too chilly to go swimming but we were able to use the row boat and the 2 kayaks that were there. My sister brought her 2 kayaks to add to the fun. The row boat can hold up to 5 people and it has 2 sets of ores. We spent a lot of time in the row boat and kayaks and at the fire pit, that weekend. We gathered a lot firewood while hiking. During the evenings, it got really chilly and there were space heaters that warmed up the houses. When we went in September we had so much fun. This time, there were 11 people that came with us. The weather was so warm during the day, that we spent most of the time in the water. Even the dog played in the water and went swimming. There was very little seaweed, it just ran along the shore but once you got past it, it was great. We brought some inner tubes and there were some there, already. This time, we had wood delivered to the house soon after we arrived. It was easy getting the wood to the beach. We barely spent time in the house, but we could get wifi signal down on the beach, which was awesome. Having the 2 houses was great. We were able to have the morning people in the small house and the late sleepers in the big house. And with the amount of space between the houses and the beach, noise was not an issue. We love that the fire pit is on the beach, we had a fire going every day, all day until we went to bed. In the mornings, we cooked breakfast and coffee on the fire pit as the sun was rising over the trees. And in the evenings, most of us would be sitting around the fire as we settled down for the day and watch the sun set over the lake. Some of us used the kayaks and row boat to go fishing in the early morning or in the early evenings. There is a garage under the small house that you can access from the beach. It houses the kayaks, ores, and random floatation devices. It had plenty of room to store the extra kayaks and other random things that we brought. With having 2 houses, a large secluded beach and lots of land to go hiking, this place is ideal."

  • Everything we were looking for

"My familiy and I just got home from a 4 night stay at Wold Lake. Having tried a smaller lake house on Honeoye Lake a year ago which left some things to be desired, our experience at Wold Lake was simply on another level. The house is beautiful and clean, and having 3 bathrooms is very helpful, as we discovered when a few members of our family got sick during the trip. There is also a nice grocery store within 10 minutes drive of the house. The lake is perfectly sized, big enough to explore but easy to get back to the shore within 5-10 minutes from any point. The men enjoyed the fishing and it was amazing, 62 bass caught in probably only a few hours out on the boat. We did not see the bears that others have seen, but saw deer, blue herons and even the beaver! This house is perfect for couples or family simply looking to relax and connect with nature. We ended every night with a nice bonfire down by the lake. All 6 of our family members loved staying at Wold Lake, and I know we will return in the future. Thanks for sharing your Hideaway with us!"

  • Wonderful Vacation Spot!

"My husband and I just returned from a week long stay at Beth and Tim's beautiful lakeside home with some of our family. The property was even better than it looked in pictures. The owner's were welcoming and kind and the home had everything that we could have needed. I loved practicing yoga then drinking coffee on the deck. We had a blast throwing our nieces in the water from the dock. Just a wonderful week overall."
