  • Perfect Weekend Getaway

"We were a party of 6 and drove up for a half marathon in New Paltz, NY. The house fit all of us comfortably and was very clean and tidy when we arrived. The kitchen was great for cooking big meals, could have used another pot but everything else was clean and in stock. Plenty of games and an abundance of space, indoor and out. Patio was great at night, plenty of seating. Beautiful surroundings and secluded from neighbors. A quick (and scenic) 20 minute drive to New Paltz although Rosendale had plenty of restaurants/shops as well."

  • Very pleased

"We loved the place , usually we vacation once a month trying different places, this is on our repeat list. Peaceful, inviting, cozy warm beautiful views, very good caring owner. Only two things I would recommend Lorrie to do when we come back on our return trip: 1- sign by the driveway entrance to turn right, the people on the left were not too friendly by the time our guests went there by mistake second time 2- I read the other reviews and brought my own floor fan, don't want to do that again, you do not need AC, but couple of box or plain floor fans would make this place much more better."

  • Restful, Quiet Getaway

"We are so fortunate to have found this property. It is a perfect getaway from the city. The cabin is situated in the woods which keeps the place cool even on the hottest days. Down the hill is a river on which you can go tubing. If you want to get in the water this summer, but don't want to deal with the beach, this is a great alternative. The owners live close by and are very friendly and accommodating. They have done a fantastic job decorating the place so that it looks elegant and casual. The kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans and utensils. We will definitely be returning."

  • Great getaway

"We are two journalists from London and loved this pretty little house - beautifully done, easy to live in and with a glorious view from the balcony over the valley to the trees beyond. We had a week of perfect weather in late August, no bugs but plenty of wildlife - deer, foxes, woodpeckers, humming birds - and friendly neighbours who invited us in for a drink. Great walking and swimming in Minnewaska Park - deep in the wilderness and only 90 mins from Broadway - amazing."
