  • The Yurt was great! Much better than I expected.

"My girlfriend loves the idea of self sustained living and I wanted a place she would love to be the site I proposed to her. The Yurt was great, if you want a different place to get away from the city. It is a little hike through the farm, so if you are a weakling or plan on wearing anything but boots, get a hotel room. Tim and Beth are awesome, super helpful, friendly, and have a great farm. Beth directed me to Mohonk Mountain to propose and it was perfect. My new fiancé and I convinced Beth and Tim to celebrate with us at the bonfire on Saturday. We will definitely return, and recommend anyone and all to stay in the Yurt. It is spacious and cozy. You could not ask for better hosts. Not sure how anyone could have a bad time here. Thank you, Tim and Beth for a very good weekend."

  • We loved our Hudson Valley vacation!

"My family stayed here for a week this August (myself and spouse, our toddler, and my parents) and had a wonderful time. The house is beautiful, spotless, and very thoughtfully designed -- with one individual with disabilities, and a small child, in our group, it could not have been more perfect. Plenty of space, lots of room to play inside and out, and easily accessible to everyone. Plus the hosts provided wonderful amenities, including a grill and fire pit, baby gates and a baby pool, and good suggestions for nearby activities. Finally, the house is in a great location, peaceful and quiet but near enough to all of the wonderful towns, trails, etc. in the Valley. We can't wait to come back!"

  • Great getaway for a little one

"We were looking for a place to take our 2 year old son out of the city and the farm was perfect! The cabin is adorable, much nicer than the photos, everyone we met were lovely and helpful and their really were chickens, rabbits, baby goats, and other animals right outside. We did not have much contact with the owners, email was never answered, the pizza was only offered on Saturdays and the breakfast was $15 a person so we did not do it. When we did meet them though, they were gracious and even found toys for our little one. With nearby hiking, berry picking, petting farms, swimming holes etc and only two hours from New York, I recommend it highly."

  • Home away from home

"I've stayed here many times over the last 4 years, each time has been a memory in its own. The property is relaxing and comforting. A perfect getaway from the city. Big plus in the kitchen for those who like to cook! Everything I need is always there, spices, pots, pans and always a healthy amount of Meyer's soap for cleaning up! (Meyer's products in the laundry room as well) Major points in my book, as I'm sensitive to typical chemicals used in traditional soaps and cleansers. Plenty of room for multiple guests, but still intimate enough for 2 or 3. I've slept in each one of the beds, and had a peaceful sleep in all of them. Soft sheets, iron headboards, and room warming rugs in each bedroom. The accord wine shop around the corner, and farmer's style market stocked with local goodies makes for a convenient and quick gathering of accoutrements for a cozy night in. There's a larger grocery store, Emmanuels, not more than a 15 minute drive for longer week or weekend stays. The host of the property has always been prompt to return emails or phone calls prior to booking, and has always been readily available for the few times I've had to contact him during my stay. Overall, one of my favorite properties to visit. I'll continue to enjoy many more nights here as long as the property is available."
