  • Rustic romantic get away

"A lovely little winter get away on a farm. The yurt is unique and well insolated. Kitchen equipment is basic (and from the 70s) but works just fine. Beth is quite helpful the animals are friendly though unless your dog is used to farm animals I strongly recommend keeping them on leash. Also the yurt does smell a bit from the gas fireplace and oven. Overall i found the yurt to be private and romantic and we plan to come back. Oh and is snowed but the streets were well plowed."

  • Just right amount of charm and amenities

"My wife and I travel quite a bit and to be fair, we realize we're a little picky. This place has been put together with a mindful touch. I love to cook and the kitchen is extremely adequate and accommodating with new gas range, new fridge, tons of counter space, a grill out back, everything you need and some great local farmers markets and grocery stores close by. There is a terrific wood burning stove in the main room that is extremely charming and works terrifically. We've been twice, once in cold weather and once in a little warmer. Terrific fire pit, relaxing chairs, and a beautiful sprawling backyard. Kept up interior of the house with nice working shower, washer and dryer if needed. Close to great hiking and biking trails/state park. Very nice and accommodating owner to top it off. Just a great place, great vibe, couldn't imagine not having a wonderful time. Can't wait to go back."

  • Lovely home, Views, Quiet, Great Location

"My husband and I stayed in this house for four nights at the end of July, leaving wistfully. I'm a noise nut and this house, tucked among thick, beautiful woods, couldn't have been more secluded and peaceful. The kitchen is brilliantly stocked with equipment, so we elected each night to cook rather than go to restaurants, taking in the breathe-in/breathe-out panorama view from the deck. House has high, airy ceilings;a wonderful collection of books; comfortable easy chairs. Perfectly located for 20-minute drives to so many good locations. Would LOVE to return!"

  • Great getaway for a little one

"We were looking for a place to take our 2 year old son out of the city and the farm was perfect! The cabin is adorable, much nicer than the photos, everyone we met were lovely and helpful and their really were chickens, rabbits, baby goats, and other animals right outside. We did not have much contact with the owners, email was never answered, the pizza was only offered on Saturdays and the breakfast was $15 a person so we did not do it. When we did meet them though, they were gracious and even found toys for our little one. With nearby hiking, berry picking, petting farms, swimming holes etc and only two hours from New York, I recommend it highly."
