"My husband and I enjoyed a beautiful weekend at this lovely home. Complete privacy and the grounds are breathtaking. The photos for this listing don't do the property justice. It's a fabulous place, has a great kitchen and comfy bedrooms. I especially fell in love with the fireplace and lighting fixtures. Can't wait to go back again!!"

"My boyfriend and I had a fabulous and romantic cycling weekend at the bunkhouse. The house was adorable, comfortable, cozy and clean and only a 5 minute bicycle ride from the Hudson Valley rail trail. The garden just outside our door was full of tomatoes, peppers and so many delicious herbs. We also took full advantage of a wonderful raspberry/blackberry patch at the invitation of our fabulous hosts. There is nothing better than breakfast made with freshly picked vegetables among horses grazing in a beautiful pastoral setting. This place is magical and we cannot wait to come back!"

"'We' heard about an exhibit in Copake Falls about camps 'in the area' from the 1920's, and on. One thing led to another and 'We' decided that this was the time for a camp reunion. I immediately Gooogled 'Houses in Copake', and lo and behold, this beautiful house, right on, what we knew as Lake Rhoda (now Upper Rhoda Pond) appeared before me. This was almost unbelievable as most of us had not been back to West Copake for a good 50 years. So, after much arranging, 7 of us made our way, as far as Nashville and Colorado to our beloved lake. The house welcomed us with open arms, and the lake, as if we had never left. We almost immediately took out one of the canoes and made our way around the lake. We ate outside on the deck with a well stocked kitchen to make us feel right at home. We chose our BR's easily, as there were 2 sets of Sisters who shared a bed. The next day, we had about 20 people at the house for lunch, and between the outdoor spaces to sit, the welcoming size of the house, nothing ever felt crowded. The BR's were lovely, clean and cozy. Saturday night 3 more people stayed over and they too, were just as comfortable in the Gurst House. We did not get a chance to go swimming, although the lake was warm, we simply were not there long enough. The whole process of renting the house was easy, due to the professionalism of the rental agent/property manager. I do believe that each of us would go back in a heartbeat, and HAPILY stay for more than a weekend."

"We had a great time for two weeks. Plenty to do nearby and the house is cozy and the kitchen is very good. Our dog loved it as well. Having no tv was a real plus, we played Monopoly and other games with our two grandchildren and got totally connected. Nice setting in the woods, quiet, peaceful and cool. I definitely recommend it."
