"Great house and beautiful views. Great for a family...so much to do. Denise our host went out of her way to make sure we had a great time pointing out the fun spots and things to do, like Catamount Adventure Park, Copake Falls and the farmers market. You really don't have to leave the property to stay entertained. She supplies all you'll need at the house... Kayaks, paddle board, boats...and a fire pit for evenings that over looks the lake. Looking forward to our next trip there!! Thanks Denise :)"

"'We' heard about an exhibit in Copake Falls about camps 'in the area' from the 1920's, and on. One thing led to another and 'We' decided that this was the time for a camp reunion. I immediately Gooogled 'Houses in Copake', and lo and behold, this beautiful house, right on, what we knew as Lake Rhoda (now Upper Rhoda Pond) appeared before me. This was almost unbelievable as most of us had not been back to West Copake for a good 50 years. So, after much arranging, 7 of us made our way, as far as Nashville and Colorado to our beloved lake. The house welcomed us with open arms, and the lake, as if we had never left. We almost immediately took out one of the canoes and made our way around the lake. We ate outside on the deck with a well stocked kitchen to make us feel right at home. We chose our BR's easily, as there were 2 sets of Sisters who shared a bed. The next day, we had about 20 people at the house for lunch, and between the outdoor spaces to sit, the welcoming size of the house, nothing ever felt crowded. The BR's were lovely, clean and cozy. Saturday night 3 more people stayed over and they too, were just as comfortable in the Gurst House. We did not get a chance to go swimming, although the lake was warm, we simply were not there long enough. The whole process of renting the house was easy, due to the professionalism of the rental agent/property manager. I do believe that each of us would go back in a heartbeat, and HAPILY stay for more than a weekend."

"We had a great time for two weeks. Plenty to do nearby and the house is cozy and the kitchen is very good. Our dog loved it as well. Having no tv was a real plus, we played Monopoly and other games with our two grandchildren and got totally connected. Nice setting in the woods, quiet, peaceful and cool. I definitely recommend it."

"We have been renting the house every winter for the last 6 ski seasons so we know and love the house well. It is extremely comfortable and the owners could not be more accommodating. They are very communicative and always have our enjoyment of the house as their number one priority.
This is the first time we cam during the fall while the leaves were turning. Absolutely stunning! The house is secluded and completely private, surrounded by forest. The foliage was like being amid fireworks. The colors were gorgeous. We took advantage of hiking through the hills, lunching on the deck and taking in the views. We spent one afternoon at Catamount's adventure park (highly recommend!) and generally lounging in the house. This house is perfect for a group looking to get a away in comfort! Open kitchen and dining room, cozy bedrooms and stunning views."
