"We had a great stay at the Barn with our adult children and partners, converging from Boston, NYC and Santa Fe NM. What a great spot with the lake and woods all around, set in such a beautiful corner of the Berkshires. Relaxing is what it's all about, and the Barn is perfect for making great meals and spending time together relaxing and having fun. It's beautifully furnished and our host was very solicitous making sure we had everything we needed. The indoor/outdoor spaces are what makes it such a great place, with the outdoor dining/lounging space being our favorite. Don't miss a relaxing tour around the lake on the pontoon boat and a refreshing swim in the lake. We loved it all and will surely thing of coming back again!"

"We were looking for a special place to celebrate my wife's retirement with our kids, & their mates. This house was PERFECT. The views, from the moment you enter, are astounding. The lake is just right there! Denise's attention to detail is fantastic. She was available to answer any small question or concern- without being in any way intrusive. We know (& love) the area ,having spent so many years of our youth at summer camp nearby- so being in THIS house was spectacular. The area has just so much to offer- The Saturday AM Farmer's Market was a hit- as well as the Hillsdale Arts Fair. No trip to the area is complete without a trip to the Swiss Hutte (one of our favorite restaurants in the world!) , as well as the casual Four Brothers. The firepit was a great hit- making s'mores & great family memories. Even hiking Bash Bish in the rain, with umbrellas, was amazing. The kayaks were used for peaceful trips around the lake. You will LOVE your stay here! We can't wait for the opportunity to return!"

"'We' heard about an exhibit in Copake Falls about camps 'in the area' from the 1920's, and on. One thing led to another and 'We' decided that this was the time for a camp reunion. I immediately Gooogled 'Houses in Copake', and lo and behold, this beautiful house, right on, what we knew as Lake Rhoda (now Upper Rhoda Pond) appeared before me. This was almost unbelievable as most of us had not been back to West Copake for a good 50 years. So, after much arranging, 7 of us made our way, as far as Nashville and Colorado to our beloved lake. The house welcomed us with open arms, and the lake, as if we had never left. We almost immediately took out one of the canoes and made our way around the lake. We ate outside on the deck with a well stocked kitchen to make us feel right at home. We chose our BR's easily, as there were 2 sets of Sisters who shared a bed. The next day, we had about 20 people at the house for lunch, and between the outdoor spaces to sit, the welcoming size of the house, nothing ever felt crowded. The BR's were lovely, clean and cozy. Saturday night 3 more people stayed over and they too, were just as comfortable in the Gurst House. We did not get a chance to go swimming, although the lake was warm, we simply were not there long enough. The whole process of renting the house was easy, due to the professionalism of the rental agent/property manager. I do believe that each of us would go back in a heartbeat, and HAPILY stay for more than a weekend."
