Beautiful old house for a family vacation with a small kid
"We spent a nice week at the Clermont house:
The house was clean and warm. Three bedrooms and a nursery provided sufficient space for two couples, one adult, and a child. The house is old, but well kept and provides a modern kitchen, WIFI, and a large variety of movies and TV series.
The garden behind the house was nice to play ball and we also loved to watch the horses on the adjacent farm.
The next supermarket is about 20 minutes away, and major tourist attractions like the FDR estate or the walkway over the Hudson are about 45 minutes to drive. The house owner has compiled a nice list of things to do in the area. We also enjoyed the BBQ to go around the corner and the biplane ride at the Old Rhinebeck aerodrome.
The communication with the house owner was very convenient, every thing worked out fine."

"We rented this very comfortable, well-stocked house for a week this summer. For our enjoyment, inside were books, games, and TV/DVD; outside, as well as a wonderful view of the lake, were kayaks, a canoe, swings, and hiking paths. It felt so good to be there, and we liked it so much, we rented it for another week."

"My family and I were looking for an escape from the busy city and this house was beyond our expectations. It was spacious, well furnished( made me feel like I was in my own house), lots of beds( very comfortable and beautiful sheets), and the views were spectacular, the kitchen was well equipped with an enormous fridge and was open. The host could not have been more accommodating. My family and I went to the Monhonk mountain house which was about 2 miles from the house, and one night we went to the Eggs Nest restaurant which was about a 10 min drive and was a delicious meal. I will definitely be returning to this fabulous property!"

"For our mother's birthday we signed her up for a class at the Culinary Institute of America and decided we wanted to rent a house as a family instead of staying in a hotel. This was the best decision we made. The drive between the house and the CIA was very easy.
We spent the rest of the time at the house for the most part. It was very comfortable yet spacious enough that we never felt on top of each other.
Marcia was a pleasure to work with from the beginning all the way to the end.
We have already decided we will definitely be back in the future to spend more time exploring the area and will absolutely be staying here again."
